Cooling to global warming
[...] Fast forward two years and BC Premier Gordon Campbell has gone, quit in the aftermath of another tax grab – the much despised HST. Liberal candidates are lining up to be considered for the open Premier position, but this time candidates are talking about dialing back green policies, even reversing the carbon tax. BC’s political class have decided that leading the green charge is something of a losing proposition:
“I think there is clear evidence there will be some rethinking of the government’s overall approach to climate policy, of which the carbon tax is just one component, which we would encourage,” said Jock Finlayson, executive vice-president, policy, at the Business Council of British Columbia. “While there are certain advantages to having a carbon tax, it doesn’t make sense to have a made-in-B.C. carbon tax when nobody else is following your lead.”The highlighted sentence above will put a chill into the hearts of warmists everywhere – if climate policy can be reversed in BC it can be reversed anywhere, with the possible exception of dysfunctional California. /full report
US Agencies Still Fiddling Temperature Record (TransWorldNews)
Robert Ferguson, President of SPPI, said: “Despite billions spent on official claims about the supposed threat of catastrophic man-made ‘global warming’, opinion polls show the public are no longer fooled. A main reason why the voters buy don’t climate alarmism any more is that the tiny but well-connected, lavishly-funded Climategate clique keeps on being caught out bending the scientific evidence.
The warming hyped as alarming is found mostly in the Arctic and in the Antarctic peninsula. The problem is that it isn't found, it is estimated. There are precious few measuring stations and those in the Arctic, near settlements show warming whilst those more remote show none (see here for honest Arctic info.). As for the rest of the world the following excerpt, showing alarming adjustment appears typical:
"In the graph from Climate Audit, the difference after versions 2 is dramatic. So in the data sets, urban warming is allowed to remain and the warm bias is artificially introduced into the rural and/or well sited data sets which in their unadjusted state show no warming.
Though both NOAA and NASA have resisted FOIA requests for release of all the unadjusted data and documentation for all the adjustments made, that may change in the new congress. The Data Quality Act requires that any published data must be able to be replicated by independent audits. That is currently not possible given the resistance posed despite promises of transparency."

Heliogenic Climate Change reports, "Note even with the super El Nino of 1997/98, the trend from the 1930s/1940s was down. Indeed James Hansen in 1999 remarked “The U.S. has warmed during the past century, but the warming hardly exceeds year-to-year variability. Indeed, in the U.S. the warmest decade was the 1930s and the warmest year was 1934.”
EU Commissioners Clear the Enigma: Muslim Immigrants for Muslim Support to Superpower Status Acc. to The Lisbon Treaty. “No Illegal Immigrants”
The EU’s unbridled love for both illegal and legal Muslim immigration despite the huge cost both financially, culturally and as for security for indigenous Europeans has wondered many and much. EU talks incessantly about limiting immigration - but keeps the vast majority of illegal immigrants because of alleged conventions that prevent their return. Furthermore, the EU has established recruiting offices in Africa to import 56 million predominantly Muslim “workers” and also their families from Africa by 2050. With the knowledge we have today of Muslim qualifications and inclination to work (27 min. effectively a day acc. to an imam) even the highly biased EU should be aware that this is not the solution to the EU´s demographic problems. /much more here.
Eric Zemmour On Trial [Freedom of speech in the dock]
An article at François Desouche reviews the story of journalist Eric Zemmour's comments about race and crime, a media event from March 2010 that led to a trial for defamation and racial discrimination. The trial is now in session. [Trial ended, a decision is expected mid Feb.]
The comment that may cost Zemmour some money, if not his personal freedom was:
"French immigrants are more closely monitored than others because most drug dealers are blacks or Arabs... It's a fact."
Another comment he had made earlier may also cost him:
"Employers have the right to refuse Arabs or blacks."
Le Monde posted the following:
SOS-Racism, an anti-racism association, was the first to initiate a lawsuit against the "polemicist".
Note: I have kept the word "polemicist" used by Le Monde, and placed it in quotes, because it does not define Zemmour properly. He simply presents a more realistic point of view, and ipso facto enters into a confrontation. A polemicist is defined and someone who aggressively creates controversy. /continues

News: Eric Zemmour provokes France’s elite with claims of national decline (Charles Bremner, Paris)
France has been thwarted in its destiny of greatness by the English and is now doomed to collapse into civil war between Christians and Muslim “barbarians”.
You might think that such a prophecy — articulated by one of the country’s top thinkers — would banish its author to the lunatic fringe. Yet Eric Zemmour is earning fame and fortune charting his country’s decline, with his latest gloomy book Mélancolie Française flying off the shelves.
A Battle for Freedom of Speech
...has been in the news on a daily basis for several weeks. First, he appears on French television in several types of talk shows - discussions, interviews, etc... and alone in a morning editorial on Radio Courtoisie. He also is the author of many books and writes regularly for Le Figaro. He is certainly a busy man, but his claim to fame is quite unique: he is one of the very few journalists in the public eye who tells the truth about what is happening in France.

The Punishment For Insulting The Prophet Koenraad Elst
It is getting boring, dear reader, but that's not my doing: the facts happen to repeat themselves simply because the underlying motivation remains the same, namely Islam. In the Pakistani capital Islamabad Taseer Salman, the governor of the province of Panjab, also publisher of a liberal newspaper, was assassinated. He had uttered a negative opinion on the law on blasphemy, which especially imposes a penalty for insults to the Prophet Muhammad prohibited. He had visited Aasia Bibi in jail, a Christian woman convicted for insulting the Prophet, and had promised her to plead for pardon with the President.
The killer, his own bodyguard Malik Mumtaz Qadri, immediately received endorsements from all sides. The masses in many cities went to the streets to demand the death penalty for those who offend the Prophet and for those who protect blasphemers, as the assassinated Governor had done. The lawyers association immediately offered to defend the killer free of cost. Over five hundred legal scholars of the "moderate" Barelvi school hailed Qadri as a Ghazi, i.e. a Jihadi who has slain an unbeliever with his own hands. They also refused to allow prayers or expressions of sympathy for Taseer.
The myth that Islamic extremism is the affair of a small minority has received a beating here. But no myth peddler has admitted his mistake yet. /more
The Rape of Europe Paul Belien
The German author Henryk M. Broder recently told the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant (12 October) that young Europeans who love freedom, better emigrate. Europe as we know it will no longer exist 20 years from now. Whilst sitting on a terrace in Berlin, Broder pointed to the other customers and the passers-by and said melancholically: “We are watching the world of yesterday.”
Europe is turning Muslim. As Broder is sixty years old he is not going to emigrate himself. “I am too old,” he said. However, he urged young people to get out and “move to Australia or New Zealand. That is the only option they have if they want to avoid the plagues that will turn the old continent uninhabitable.”
Many Germans and Dutch, apparently, did not wait for Broder’s advice. The number of emigrants leaving the Netherlands and Germany has already surpassed the number of immigrants moving in. One does not have to be prophetic to predict, like Henryk Broder, that Europe is becoming Islamic. Just consider the demographics. The number of Muslims in contemporary Europe is estimated to be 50 million. It is expected to double in twenty years. By 2025, one third of all European children will be born to Muslim families. Today Mohammed is already the most popular name for new-born boys in Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and other major European cities.
Broder is convinced that the Europeans are not willing to oppose islamization. “The dominant ethos,” he told De Volkskrant, “is perfectly voiced by the stupid blonde woman author with whom I recently debated. She said that it is sometimes better to let yourself be raped than to risk serious injuries while resisting. She said it is sometimes better to avoid fighting than run the risk of death.”
This is what the political scientists Jacob Hacker and Paul Pierson call the "winner-take-all economy." It is not a picture of a healthy society. Such a level of economic inequality, not seen in the United States since the eve of the Great Depression, bespeaks a political economy in which the financial rewards are increasingly concentrated among a tiny elite and whose risks are borne by an increasingly exposed and unprotected middle class. /read all
Why the Rich Are Getting Richer Robert C. Lieberman
Increasing inequality in the United States has long been attributed to unstoppable market forces. In fact, as Jacob Hacker and Paul Pierson show, it is the direct result of congressional policies that have consciously -- and sometimes inadvertently -- skewed the playing field toward the rich.
The U.S. economy appears to be coming apart at the seams. Unemployment remains at nearly ten percent, the highest level in almost 30 years; foreclosures have forced millions of Americans out of their homes; and real incomes have fallen faster and further than at any time since the Great Depression. Many of those laid off fear that the jobs they have lost -- the secure, often unionized, industrial jobs that provided wealth, security, and opportunity -- will never return. They are probably right.
And yet a curious thing has happened in the midst of all this misery. The wealthiest Americans, among them presumably the very titans of global finance whose misadventures brought about the financial meltdown, got richer. And not just a little bit richer; a lot richer. In 2009, the average income of the top five percent of earners went up, while on average everyone else's income went down. This was not an anomaly but rather a continuation of a 40-year trend of ballooning incomes at the very top and stagnant incomes in the middle and at the bottom. The share of total income going to the top one percent has increased from roughly eight percent in the 1960s to more than 20 percent today.
/full story
Humorously, in "Can Tunisia Spark a Revolutionary Wave?" the NWO's Council on Foreign Relations (Osborne's buddies) express angst that democracy brought about by popular uprising could spread through the oil regimes. They should look nearer home. If the TEA party turns out to be malleable wimps I suspect the next US government won't be installed by free election.
Government preparations for battle with the electorate. Chuck Baldwin: Restoring The Republic.
[...] Baldwin says we have more to fear from Washington DC than we do from Tehran or from Afghanistan, pointing to a program that seeks to recruit pastors as martial law pacifiers for FEMA in the event of a national emergency. Baldwin relates how a pastor from Ohio who attended a FEMA training seminar confirmed to him that there is a program to enlist pastors and clergymen to be part of clergy response teams, the primary goal of which would be to use the clergymen to encourage their constituents to submit to following government orders upon declaration of martial law, including the confiscation of firearms. /more on the NWO-bankster government here.

EC scam suspension (EUReferendum)
Retreat into childhood - by Richard...
[...] Today, two stories rush into print, so to speak, on this blog. First, there is the suspension of the European carbon market, after suspicions of fraud. More than €2bn (£1.7bn) of trade is likely to be disrupted after the EU commission said it would prevent transactions until 26 January.
The suspension follows allegations that 475,000 carbon credits worth €7m were stolen in a hacking attack on the Czech carbon register. It appears that the allowances were bounced between eastern European countries before disappearing without a trace.
This is the latest of such a long line of incidents and could spell the slow death of a one of the flagship (and hideously expensive) schemes devised by the EU, supposedly to combat global warming. With billions already involved, and potentially trillions over term, of our money, a major fraud on top of other major frauds, with more frauds to come, is of some considerable concern.
Such a story, in an adult world, with adult newspapers and adults for journalists, would be on the front pages. You will struggle to find it in the business pages – one of the last repositories of adult reporting.
