Libyagate: Surgery with cudgels OBLgate: The funeral 2001

OBLgate: imagine if Pakistan knew OBL died in 2001 - U.S.-No sign Pakistan knew of bin Laden presence - well, they would be quite surprised at his being there after this:

Bin Laden RIP 2001Al-Wafd, Wednesday, December 26, 2001 Vol 15 No 4633 via Global Research
News of Bin Laden's Death and Funeral 10 days ago
A prominent official in the Afghan Taleban movement announced yesterday the death of Osama bin Laden, the chief of al-Qa'da organization, stating that bin Laden suffered serious complications in the lungs and died a natural and quiet death. The official, who asked to remain anonymous, stated to The Observer of Pakistan that he had himself attended the funeral of bin Laden and saw his face prior to burial in Tora Bora 10 days ago. He mentioned that 30 of al-Qa'da fighters attended the burial as well as members of his family and some friends from the Taleban. In the farewell ceremony to his final rest guns were fired in the air.

What is happening to insurgent prisoners of war? No news is not good news. Are they still above ground? What are their conditions like? Where are they kept?
Why do we never hear of insurgent retreats and defeats? Why was the coalition mission treated as if war right from the outset, especially by the UK mainstream media?
The Libyan debacle is a western countries' arranged, funded, armed, trained, advised and supported insurgency against the still legitimate government of Libya. I wonder how far the IRA could have progressed had they been given as much support by the CIA and US funding.)
When a period in the past goes from bad to worse to downright catastrophic in the space of a few days something smells. Propaganda experts are at work in Libya and following a well trodden path. Their English is too good to be Libyans so it is probably the UK-US SS twins. Twitter is a godsend to them. Less than 5% of Libyans have internet and many of those connections must be businesses so it is a sure bet the propaganda is aimed at journalists and people that follow twitter and Al Jazeera. Possibly the ground is being prepared for an invasion or maybe it already happened looking at the way the insurgents didn't run away when the Libyan army responded to an attack on Brega, that is until they were told to so that NATO could follow up with bombing - strafing runs on those drawn out by the assault. To protect citizens, you understand.

Yesterday was quiet from lunchtime e.g. Al Jazeera (Qatar owned), twitter, perhaps that was to stop reportage on what is happening, and to give people time to digest the propaganda that would otherwise get lost in the noise of rapidly arriving news bites. I don't know but something is going on. It is laughable to think the Libyan army could lose to the insurgency as it has over 100,000 troops plus volunteers and contractors from other African countries, then there are the tribes that are loyal to the government that have already called for a peaceful solution along lines recommended by the African Union, that the insurgents and NATO are pointedly ignoring.

Kate Hudson: NATO is now deeply entrenched in Libya in what looks like a civil war and there is no visible end to the illegal intervention, insists British anti-nuclear activist Kate Hudson from the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.
“It is a complex situation. It is clear that rather than what was initially suggested: one mad dictator going around killing his people en masse – it is now clear there are two political and military sides,”
Hudson pointed out. “In a complex situation like that it maybe very difficult to move towards a negotiated political settlement – but that is what has to be done.”

Double dealing is not exclusive to Libya. Looking at the way the Clinton - I mean Obama administration has treated the rest of the government, it is quite apparent that the "war" is a White House - Pentagon - CIA thing against the wishes of the rest of the government.

  1. Clinton: Obama Will Ignore Congress on Libya War
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told a classified congressional hearing that the Obama regime would ignore Congress if it tried to rein in the unconstitutional war in Libya, but that the administration would send press releases to lawmakers, according to news reports.
When Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) asked Clinton during the briefing what the regime’s response would be to Congress exercising its constitutional authority over war, the Secretary said Obama would proceed with the war anyway, according to a senior Republican lawmaker in attendance cited by Talking Points Memo. Apparently the regime has “legal opinions” that justify the “kinetic military action.”
The Secretary’s answer reportedly surprised even attendees because “Clinton plainly admitted the administration would ignore any and all attempts by Congress to shackle President Obama's power as Commander in Chief to make military and wartime decisions,” TPM reported. Other news reports citing lawmakers reported similar findings.
  7. A Fein Time for an Impeachment
“Barack Hussein Obama has mocked the rule of law, endangered the very existence of the Republic and the liberties of the people, and perpetrated an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor.” So charges constitutional lawyer and former Reagan Department of Justice official Bruce Fein in the 15-page article of impeachment he has drawn up in response to Obama’s unconstitutional war on Libya. Fein has experience in such matters, having written the first article of impeachment against President Bill Clinton. He also called for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, though obviously his call went unheeded.
His case against Obama is particularly strong, concentrating on the (ahem) unimpeachable fact that the Constitution vests the power of initiating hostilities in Congress, not the President — a fact acknowledged by the Founding Fathers, previous Presidents and Congresses, the Supreme Court, and even Obama and other members of his administration (before they joined the executive branch), as Fein documents copiously. For having flouted this constitutional provision, declared “that Congress is powerless to constrain his conduct of the war,” and claimed “authority in the future to commence war unilaterally,” Fein concludes Obama is deserving of impeachment.
  9. General Says Boots on the Ground May Be Needed in Libya
The General in charge of the U.S. African Command, Army General Carter Ham*, told congressional leaders in a closed meeting April 5 that the military is considering sending ground troops into Libya. "I suspect there might be some consideration of that," Ham told members of the House Armed Services Committee. "My personal view at this point would be that that's probably not the ideal circumstance, again for the regional reaction that having American boots on the ground would entail." [* The man that Rasmussen-Bouchard report to?]
12. UN And Muslim Militias Arrest Ivory Coast President
United Nations-backed rebel forces, supported by the Obama administration and the French government, arrested Ivory Coast President Laurent Gbagbo at the presidential palace on April 11, installing a Muslim central banker named Alassane Ouattara in his place.

According to the United Nations, as of early May, over 710,000 people have fled Libya since NATO began blitzing the country. The European Commissariat eco-fascist org wants to go back in time and close European borders to halt the migrant flood of US - EC making. Rompuy, Cameron, Sarkozy and Obama have not offered to personally house and personally pay the expense of an additional immigration burden nor have any UK representatives that voted for the war. Also they expect Libyans to pay for the damage NATO jets are causing, and domesticated Europeans to pay for the war. If NATO wins the war, their insurgents will use Libyan funds without permission.

Libyan fate sealed at Rome Contact Group [Where Libya's future government was decided by white westerners]
DURING the first week of May, two significant developments occurred in the imperialist war against the oil-rich North African State of Libya: The convening of a meeting in Italy by the various governments and economic interests that are attempting to overthrow the Libyan state, and the announcement that the International Criminal Court based in The Hague would seek arrest warrants against high-level officials including Muammar Gaddafi and members of his family.

Breitbart May 5
ROME (AP) - The United States is trying to free up some of the more than $30 billion it has frozen in Libyan assets so it can support the opponents of Moammar Gadhafi, U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton told a conference Thursday.
The meeting in Rome was focused on how to financially help the Libyan rebels, who say they need $1.5 billion in the coming months just for food, medicine and other basic supplies.
Clinton said the Obama administration, working with Congress, wants "to tap some portion of those assets owned by Gadhafi and the Libyan government in the United States, so we can make those funds available to help the Libyan people."
The United States also has already has pledged $53 million in humanitarian aid and authorized up to $25 million in non-lethal assistance to the rebels, including medical supplies, boots, tents, rations and personal protective gear. The first shipment is set to arrive in Benghazi in the coming days.

1:00am Libyan government officials on Tuesday held a ceremony in Tripoli, in which they released around 150 men who they said were detained rebels. Video shot by AP Television on Tuesday, under the supervision of the Libyan Government, showed a ceremony at the "Scouts Theatre" in Tripoli where the men were apparently handed over to tribal leaders. The officials said the handover was a gesture to encourage other rebels to give themselves up to government forces or tribes leaders.
[Africa Command comedy spot:]
4:08am NATO's Brigadier General Claudio Gabellini spoke to reporters via videolink from the operation's headquarters in Naples, Italy:
"All NATO targets are military targets, which means that the targets we've been hitting, and it happened also last night in Tripoli, are command and control bunkers. NATO is not targeting individuals." [Mil. targets, especially the houses, schools and hospitals...No comment on civilian deaths Brig.? Just another propaganda tool, highly strung?]
7:41am Libyan rebels gain ground in Misurata and NATO announces the start of a second phase of its military operation aimed at command centers of the Gaddafi regime. [To stop a destroyed airforce from flying? To protect civilians regardless of "collateral damage"?]
10:08am The European Union plans to open an office in the rebel-held Libyan city of Benghazi to facilitate assistance to the rebel council based there, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said. "I intend to open an office in Benghazi so that we can move forward on the support we've discussed to the people... to support civil society, to support the Interim Transitional National Council." [Oh we're off to Tripoli in the green in the green where gold dinars glisten in the sun, where NATO jets flash past as missiles crash by order of Ham's Rasmussen]
10:27am The AFP news agency reports that Mahmoud Jibril, foreign affairs chief for the Libyan National Transitional Council, will meet with key US lawmakers on the Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing conflict in Libya, US Senator John Kerry said in a statement. [CFR is the permanent gov't in the US, a Rockefeller org.]
10:48am Explosions rocked eastern Tripoli for almost an hour on Wednesday morning as jets flew overhead, a witness told the AFP news agency. The explosions began about 7:30 am (0530 GMT) and continued sporadically until 8:15 am (0615 GMT), according to the witness.
11:13am Gaddafi is a legitimate target if he is inside a military installation, Italian Defence Minister Ignazio La Russa said in an interview published by Il Messaggero daily. [From yet another horse's mouth!]
11:43am UN chief Ban Ki-moon said he had urged Libya's prime minister - Baghdadi Mahmudi - to immediately stop attacks on civilians. [Notable. He has not urged the insurgent's to stop attacking and taking over cities, he has not urged NATO to stop making war.]

Some photos follow of a hit on Gaddafi's compound, (they missed the tent). Not shown anywhere is the blitzing over days in east Misurata to open an avenue for jihadists to exit the encircled city.

I won't bother too much with blow-by-blow reports as twits are now even less reliable than they were a few days ago, pro Libyan gov't twits were washed out by the deluge of chatter from Langley, now it is a deluge of disinformation.

Police arrest 200 in Tunisia

The Tunisian police have arrested about 200 people who were taking part in protest actions. They were accused of disobedience to law enforcement officers, disruptive behavior and theft, as well as of violating the recently introduced curfew.Participants in Tunisia’s ongoing rallies demand the resignation of Prime Minister Bedji Caid Sebsi.
[While NATO is in the area perhaps it could help the protestors with some aid bombing of the Tunisian gov't? Or is it a fact that NATO will only aid US arranged protests and that it needs Tunisian aid to defeat Libya?]

What the ICC should be investigating.
Conspiracy to
a) cause anti government disturbances in foreign sovereign nations
b) cause an armed insurgency in a foreign sovereign nation
c) supply arms to aid an insurgency in a foreign sovereign nation
d) providing aid and arms to listed terrorist organisations
e) fund all of the above
f) execute a leader of a foreign sovereign nation

Breaches of UN regulations by NATO countries involved in blitzing Libya.

The various already publicly named secret services of certain NATO countries, NATO heads and if complicit, NATO country governments should be brought before the ICC.

I'll stop there before this becomes epic.
