Libyagate: Will Obama go for it? NATO fights for islamification

Will Obama go for the  exit?
After killing a known to be fake Osama, the sheriff’s car may be waiting. Incitement to murder perhaps?

Osama passed away in 2001. Ask anyone in the CIA.
Top Government Insider: Bin Laden Died In 2001, 9/11 False Flag Attack Global Research
“He was already very sick from marfan syndrome and he was already dying, so nobody had to kill him,” added Pieczenik, stating that Bin Laden died shortly after 9/11 in his Tora Bora cave complex.
“Did the intelligence community or the CIA doctor up this situation, the answer is yes, categorically yes,” said Pieczenik, referring to Sunday’s claim that Bin Laden was killed at his compound in Pakistan, adding, “This whole scenario where you see a bunch of people sitting there looking at a screen and they look as if they’re intense, that’s nonsense,” referring to the images released by the White House which claim to show Biden, Obama and Hillary Clinton watching the operation to kill Bin Laden live on a television screen.
“It’s a total make-up, make believe, we’re in an American theater of the absurd….why are we doing this again….nine years ago this man was already dead….why does the government repeatedly have to lie to the American people,” asked Pieczenik.
“Osama Bin Laden was totally dead, so there’s no way they could have attacked or confronted or killed Osama Bin laden,” said Pieczenik, joking that the only way it could have happened was if special forces had attacked a mortuary.
Pieczenik said that the decision to launch the hoax now was made because Obama had reached a low with plummeting approval ratings and the fact that the birther issue was blowing up in his face.
“He had to prove that he was more than American….he had to be aggressive,” said Pieczenik, adding that the farce was also a way of isolating Pakistan as a retaliation for intense opposition to the Predator drone program, which has killed hundreds of Pakistanis. /full story

The reason for the longevity of Osama?
American taxpayers spend billions in the hunt for bin Laden IBTimes
The Bush administration quickly opened its purse after the Sept. 11 2001 attacks. The U.S. Congress immediately created a $40 billion fund to expand national defense and to hunt down international terrorist.
The Department of Homeland Security was given broad powers and at least 20 federal agencies were consolidated under it with one primary mission. And that is to prevent terrorist attacks in the U.S. Over the past 10 years, the department spent an estimated $240 billion for its mission and employs 216,000 people.

Gaddafi troops have finally got the port of Misurata under their control, besieging rebels, Libya’s Foreign Ministry official reports. He also welcomed rebels’ decision to surrender in exchange of amnesty. However, the opposition haven’t confirmed this information, saying they will be fighting till the bitter end.

NATO and Qaddafi: What All Friends of Africa Should Know Mathaba
…what is the support inside Libya for this so-called ‘Libyan pro-democracy movement’? The answer is less than 2% of the entire Libyan population. One might have expected that the Western and Arab worlds would have offered Qadhafi and the Libyan armed forces assistance to deal with this al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) inspired insurgency. But no. Surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, instead, Britain France and the US, the “F-UK-US Alliance” led by Sarkozy, in what can only be described as a war mongering frenzy, launched an all out attack on Muammar Qadhafi, his family, and the Libyan people. /full story

Funding for AQ as well as free weapons?
NATO Chief Favors Financing Libyan Rebels Huffpo
ROME — European powers appeared to be losing patience Wednesday with the stalemate in Libya as the foreign ministers of both France and Italy called for an end to the international military action there as soon as possible.
In addition, support for giving money to the Libyan rebels – presumably to buy arms, equipment and munitions with which to overthrow Moammar Gadhafi – seemed to be growing as the taste for a long air war waned. Officials from countries involved in the military campaign will meet Thursday in Rome to discuss how the rebels can be financed.

The Libyan rebels are again calling on the international community to supply them with arms to fight troops loyal to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
A spokesman for the Libyan opposition, Colonel Ahmed Omar Bani issued the call in Benghazi.
At the same time, he repeated that the opposition rejected a possible ground operation by the NATO-led foreign coalition.
Meanwhile, NATO aircraft bombed the El Hara district west of Tripoli, killing several people, the Libyan television reports.

Does NATO have permission to blitz Tunisia to open a door for the invasion?
Missiles continue to fall inside Tunisia as Libyan conflict escalates Xinhuanet
TUNIS, May 1 (Xinhua) — A number of missiles from unrest-hit Libya fell into Tunisia near the Tunisian border town of Dhiba on Sunday afternoon, the official news agency TAP reported.
[...] It is the third time the Libyan missiles fell into Tunisia. A few days ago, the Tunisian foreign ministry, in a communique, condemned the violation of its territorial sovereignty.

Driving Libyans Back to Qaddafi Counterpunch
After Buckingham Palace was bombed by the Luftwaffe during the Blitz, the present Queen’s mother is supposed to have said, “Now we can look the East End in the eye.” In a war any sense that the rulers are immune to the risks and privations affecting ordinary folks is damaging to their leadership. Britain’s royal family was grateful to Hitler for targeting their palace. Colonel Qaddafi must be feeling the same after NATO killed his youngest son and three grandchildren late on Saturday night.
His spokesman emphasised that the “Brother Leader” now shared the sacrifices made for forty days and forty nights by other Libyan families. By missing the Colonel and killing the kids, NATO has given the Colonel a huge boost just as trouble was growing on the Tunisian front as well as carrying on in Misrata and in the east beyond Brega. The man who outlived Reagan’s onslaught in 1986 has done it again.
Only the perverted predatory mentality of NATO’s target-selectors could locate a harmless son of Qaddafi as well as his children, and then think it was a smart move to kill them. It would be bad enough if this blunder was simply what some Nevada-based geek-in-uniform assumed would make a neat kill, but it is obvious that frustration with the failure of Qaddafi to fall after a few cruise missile strikes six weeks ago has led the NATO leaders to think that de-capitation is the way out of the war which they launched with gay abandon.

The ICC is a bankster’s weapon of war
The law is only for prosecuting the little people. Blair, Bush types get what should be an embarrassing free pass for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Press Release: 04.05.2011
The Office of the Prosecutor will request an arrest warrant against three individuals in the first Libya case. Judges will decide.
Today, (ICC) Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo informed the United Nations Security Council that in a few weeks he will request the judges of the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants against three individuals for crimes against humanity committed in Libya since 15 February 2011. In accordance with the evidence, they are the most responsible of the crimes committed. The judges can reject the request, accept it or ask for more evidence.
The situation in Libya was unanimously referred to the Prosecutor of the ICC by the United Nations Security Council under Resolution 1970 adopted on 26 of February 2011.

Shale Gas Shock & Climate Realism: We Are Winning

CCNet – 4 May 2011

The Climate Policy Network

 New Report:

Shale Gas Shock Challenges Climate and Energy Policies

Abundant and relatively cheap shale gas promises to lower the cost of gas relative to oil, coal and renewables. It indefinitely postpones the exhaustion of fossil fuels and makes reducing emissions of carbon dioxide possible without raising energy prices. -–Matt Ridley, The Shale Gas Shock, 4 May 2011

Matt Ridley gives us a fair and even-handed account of the environmental costs and benefits of shale gas. The lessons to be learned are clear. The environmental costs of shale gas are much smaller than the environmental costs of coal. Because of shale gas, the air in Beijing will be cleaned up as the air in London was cleaned up sixty years ago. Because of shale gas, clean air will no longer be a luxury that only rich countries can afford. Because of shale gas, wealth and health will be distributed more equitably over the face of our planet. --Freeman Dyson, Foreword to Matt Ridley’s Shale Gas report, 22 April 2011

CCNet - 5 May 2011

Britain’s New Climate Realism:
We Are Winning The Argument

In the middle of the last decade 50 percent of Britons believed the risks of climate change outweighed the benefits by a considerably more than three-to-one margin. Fast forward to today. In Britain more people believe the benefits of climate change outweigh the risks than believe the risks outweigh the benefits. In fact, only about one-quarter of respondents seem to think the risks of climate change outweigh the benefits. --Eric Berger, The Houston Chronicle, 5 May 2011

What shale gas really does is screw up a major environmentalist narrative: ‘We’re running out of fossil fuels, they’re really polluting anyway, so we should just use less energy or use renewables instead.’ But if there is a lot of potential energy out there, and it is also less polluting and more flexible than current energy supplies, where does that leave the greens? The shiver-in-the-dark alarmism is ruined. --Rob Lyons, Spiked Online, 5 May 2011

Imagine if we were to discover a new form of cheap, clean energy so abundant that it will provide our needs at least for the next two centuries, freeing us from the pervasive early 21st century neurosis of having to worry about “peak oil” or “conserving scarce resources”, causing a worldwide economic boom and with the added side-benefit of creating more fertiliser so that we can not only heat our homes more cheaply than ever before but also eat more cheaply than ever before. Imagine how Environmentalists would react if such a miracle came into being. Actually we don’t need to imagine for the miracle is already here. It’s called Shale Gas. --James Delingpole, The Daily Telegraph, 4 May 2011

George Monbiot has worked his way through to a cogent description of the dead end the global green movement has reached, but he has not yet diagnosed the cause.  In particular, he remains a staunch Malthusian.  Malthusianism is a religious conviction that desperately needs to think of itself as a science.  Malthusians have made confident predictions about the future and claimed scientific authority for statements that turned out to be contemptibly silly.  That is the brutal fate that often awaits people who can’t keep the boundaries between science and religion straight. --Walter Russell Mead, The American Interest, Via Meadia, 3 May 2011

Canadian Election Results: No Cap-and-Trade, No Carbon Tax
The stunning victory by Stephen Harper’s Conservatives in Canada’s election means the death of cap-and-trade or a carbon tax in Canada.  The Conservative Party’s platform firmly opposed both cap-and-trade and carbon taxes. The Liberal Party, which was annihilated in the election, equally strongly supported imposing a cap-and-trade scheme to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Conservatives won  a clear majority of 167 seats in the 308-member federal Parliament.  They had formed a minority government since 2007.  For the first time in Canadian history, the Liberal Party dropped to third place with 34 seats.
[Obviously Canadians are the most intelligent people on the planet. (Bouchard being the exception that proves the case.) ]

Global Warming: Good for Bad, Bad for Good — Except (Surprise!) Wind Energy
So the world is not coming to an end after all – at least not if you are an investor in taxpayer-subsidized, state-mandated wind energy. Global warming will change the monsoon season in southeast Asia. It will cause drought and desertification in Africa. It will flood millions of people out of their homes in Bangladesh. But it will not — repeat not — change U.S. wind patterns. In fact, global warming will have a “positive impact” on the wind patterns “currently being targeted” for wind-energy “production.”
Climate change “threatens the survival of our civilization and the habitability of the Earth,” according to Al Gore. But climate change will not disturb U.S. wind patterns and may even improve them. How convenient for corporate rent seekers and their congressional patrons!
