The Role Played by the Propaganda Steamroller in the Syrian Conflict
NEO 03.02.2016 Author: Gordon Duff
Every death in Syria and Iraq, were one to be honest, can be blamed on a myriad of causations, Turkey’s oil dealings, recently come to light, are but one of many. Without propaganda, the US bombing campaign might have been real and the endless flow of Raytheon’s TOW missiles to ISIS might have been stemmed. Propaganda, the war of cowards and sneaks, isn’t as faceless as many assume. Today we will take a look at a face or two, perhaps make someone “famous.”
As the war in Syria and Iraq is turning against NATO, a number of “public relations challenges” have arisen:

  • Turkey is now the proven oil partner and financier of ISIS terrorism with a flood of satellite intelligence making any attempt at denial laughable.

  • The “moderate rebels” and Free Syrian Army are now proven to have been a figment of propaganda and all trained jihadists and advanced weapons intended for these imaginary groups have always gone straight to ISIS and her sister organizations.

  • Turkey has been involved in the manufacture and transit of chemical weapons used by terrorists in Syria, a fact proven over and over, now a major area of investigation.

The much vaunted coalition of rebel forces fighting Assad has long been exposed, its few units held together long enough for photo ops, having quickly disintegrated into the ranks of the more attractive and Saudi paid terror groups like ISIS, al Nusra and Zahran Allosh’s Jayash al Islam, perhaps most brutal of all.
Terror leaders like Zahran Allosh and dozens of others, have been targeted by the renewed and invigorated Syrian/Russian capability, giving hope to many that, combined with Baghdad’s offensive in Anbar, ISIS and her “sisters” outside Libya can be defeated.

However, as Turkey, Israel and Iraq’s Kurdish leadership are increasingly shown to be in bed with these terrorists, all backed by Saudi cash, the sleazy propaganda war, just as dangerous as the Paris terror attacks, has entered high gear.

Cited as prominent among the cheerleaders for terrorism are Kareen Shaheen of the Lebanon Daily Star and UK Guardian and, of course, Rami Abdul Rehman, the “Syrian Human Rights Observatory,” exposed by Russia Today as a “one man factory of deceit.” Today we look at Sheen’s work.

This week, Zahran Allosh, leader of the powerful terrorist group, Jaysh al Islam, while attending a reconciliation meeting with leaders of ISIS groups brokered by the Mossad, was killed by Syrian, not Russian, bombs as mis-reported. Hours later, Syrian Special Forces “Tiger” units stormed the headquarters of Allosh’s successor, Abu Hammam Bowydany, who may well be dead also.

But who was Alosh and what does his death mean?

To gain an understanding, one only has to follow his defacto personal publicist, Kareem Shaheen, whose article in the UK Guardian on the death of Zahran Allosh is filled with misdirection, fabrication and childish propaganda.

Shaheen, now reporting from Istanbul, having left Beirut for the arms of the Erdogan regime and Turkey’s deep pockets, works hand in hand with the now discredited Syrian Human Rights Observatory. Shaheen credits the SOHR, a one man operation in Coventry, as source for all news and announcements involving Syria, whether involving UN activities or taken from military reports.

The clear goal of the two, Shaheen and Rami Abdul Rehman, the entire “Syrian Human Rights Observatory,” is to fabricate stories of gas attacks, sarin, mustard, chlorine and blend them in with equally fabricated mass killings and “barrel bombings” in order to deflect blame from Turkey, ISIS and other terror groups like Jaysh al Islam and Jabat al Nusra, for the estimated 250,000 Syrian civilian deaths.

So, when Jaysh al Islam actually placed video showing them using the same heavy mortars used in daily attacks on Damascus delivering sarin gas shells as well, Shaheen blamed the Damascus government. He repeated this bizarre charge even in light of charges by Turkish parliamentarians that their own government, now hosting Shaheen as a “guest” was responsible. From an unsourced, typical for Shaheen, article dated December 25, 2015, published in the UK Guardian:

“One of the most controversial figures in the insurgency, Alloush rose to prominence as the leader of Jaysh al-Islam, which has maintained control over areas in the suburbs of Damascus despite years of siege by the Assad regime and relentless aerial campaigns on opposition-held areas. Eastern Ghouta was even subjected to chemical attacks when the government launched missiles laced with sarin in the area, killing over a thousand people – including many children.”

Following this journalistic “stink bomb” is something even more curious and “ham handed,” written in a style typically taught by Israeli intelligence organizations, the curious mix of simple and reliable information from real sources and fabrication from imaginary sources, jumbled together to confuse all but the most alert.

“The leader of one of the most powerful rebel groups in Syria appears to have been killed in an airstrike near the capital. A well-placed rebel source told the Guardian that Zahran Alloush, the leader of Jaysh al-Islam, one of the largest opposition groups that commands thousands of fighters on the ground near Damascus, was killed in an airstrike on Friday.”

First of all, his “well-placed source” didn’t really tell the guardian, nor is that source named. In fact, what exactly is a “well-placed terrorist?” These are rebels, they are terrorist mercenaries, paid by Saudi Arabia, who have murdered 250,000 people, and are responsible for mass rape, kidnapping, beheadings, burning people alive and, if possible, worse? How do you “place” a terrorist, much less “well-place” a criminal? It gets better.

“His death was first reported by the Reuters news agency citing two rebel sources. The Syrian state news agency said Alloush was killed in the eastern Ghouta region, where Jaysh al-Islam holds sway. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a network with wide contacts inside Syria, said aircraft targeted a meeting of Jaysh al-Islam’s leadership in eastern Ghouta, killing Alloush and five other senior leaders.”

Again, Shaheen’s terrorist sources are “rebels,” and there are now two of them. Here Shaheen now adds in SANA, the Syrian State News Agency to his mix for the appearance of legitimacy then quickly inserts a mention of Rami Rehman’s “SOHR,” whose statement is not only unsourced but, as usual for the Syrian Human Rights Observatory, totally inane as well.

There is a reason Shaheen brackets the SOHR reference with “a network of wide contacts in Syria.” You see, Rami Rehman lives in Coventry, a bleak city in the British midlands and hasn’t visited Syria in 15 years, a fact brought out in a Russia Today investigative piece debunking Rehman and his imaginary “SOHR” group, now defended by Shaheen, who no one seems to know either.

What is key, of course, is that the UK Guardian published this piece, without sourcing and containing the bizarre allegations of Syrian government sarin missile attacks, not only unsubstantiated, but bordering on insanity.

Back in May 2015, Allosh was interviewed, supposedly, by the “prestigious” McClatchy News organization which runs a number of major American newspapers. McClatchy “correspondent,” Mousab Alhmadee handed the interview, describing Allosh, responsible for hundreds of mortar attacks on civilian neighborhoods in Damascus as “moderate and conciliatory.”

Alhamadee is a classic example of the new mainstream journalist. A simple trip to YouTube shows Alhamadee, seated in front of a series of terrorist banners incoherently ranting anti-government conspiracies. Identified as an activist tied to anti-Assad groups which include ISIS and al Qaeda affiliates, Ahamadee barely speaks English much less qualifies as independent or unbiased. He is a full time spokesman for groups clearly identified as terrorist.

To McClatchy, an organization whose writing staff are typically interns or failed bloggers, much like other media outlets who are no longer capable of competing against the tailored coverage of organizations like Veterans Today or other quick response, financially unencumbered institutions, the new rule has been to “fake it.”

Thus, sources are always anonymous because, frankly, they don’t exist. Bloggers don’t have government contacts, they don’t go to press conferences and don’t have longtime career contacts in military and intelligence to fall back on.

They read the available blogs, get their daily emails and, sadly, get “talking points” from the special interest think tanks that help direct their articles and interviews with organizations like Press TV onto the world stage. Where, in the past, known journalists of “standing,” answerable and with “something to lose” made pronouncements that defined careers of lasting value, an endless army of faceless, nondescript “thugs with keyboards” tasked by “handlers” with covering for Erdogan’s ties to the Turkish Mafia or with using “Assad” and” barrel bomb” in the same sentence and $500 a crack, are the norm.

Here is how it worked in recent months in Syria. Whenever a bomb fell on ISIS, it hit a hospital or the “Free Syrian Army” instead. The BBC was caught in two separate efforts, one dubbing the term “chemical weapon” onto a video of a doctor discussing wounded in Syria and the other, and you just can’t make things like this up, hiring actors to play gas attack victims for BBC video documentaries.

One might ask how terrorists can so easily get their version of events on BBC or published by McClatchy, the Washington Post or Guardian? It isn’t just the Syrian Human Rights Observatory, its Reuters and Associated Press, using “stringers” who are known Israeli intelligence agents, former Muslim employees of the Jerusalem Post or Times of Israel typically, or would-be activists like Ahamadee, who can travel freely, with no fear of kidnapping or beheading, who, when more carefully examined, might well better be working in an ISIS media center than writing stories for small town American newspapers.

Syrian army official says troops and allies reach besieged Aleppo villages

Yahoo 3 February 2016
BEIRUT (Reuters) - A Syrian army official said on Wednesday that government troops and their allies had broken through rebel defences to reach two Shi'ite villages besieged by insurgents in northwestern Aleppo province.
"The Syrian army and its allies have totally broken the siege on Nubul and Zahraa," the official told Reuters, referring to Lebanese Hezbollah fighters and other militias fighting alongside government forces.
Hezbollah, which has been a key ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, broadcast on its Al-Manar television station footage of the battle, as did Lebanon-based pro-Damascus channel al-Mayadeen.

On BBC radio a discussion including UNICEF and the foreign secretary complaining about the siege of Aleppo and barrel bombs came across as rehearsed anti-Assad propaganda. The terrorists aren't throwing rose petals.

‘You created ISIS!’ Press conference scandal mars Kerry’s visit to Italy

RT 4 Feb, 2016 00:20
US Secretary of State John Kerry’s visit to Italy was disrupted by a cry of protest at his joint press conference with Italian foreign minister Paolo Gentiloni, when a woman in the audience shouted, “it’s you who created Daesh!”
The press conference was coming to an end, when the woman stood up from the public, her head covered up by a black veil.
“It’s you who created Daesh!” she shouted at the two ministers, using another name for the terror group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), reported the Italian state-owned television channel RAI.
The woman was dragged away from the conference by the Carabinieri.

EU referendum: Institute of Economic Affairs say staying in the EU would cost Britain at least £9,265 per household each year
3 February 2016 by Lauren Fedor
Remaining in the European Union could cost the United Kingdom at least 13 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP) each year, a leading free market think tank has claimed.
In a new report out today by Cardiff Business School professor Patrick Minford, the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) said shifts in EU trade policy, regulations and the single market would lead to annual costs of at least £9,265 per household, in today’s terms.
The IEA said the report suggested a new UK-EU treaty is needed to “preserve the existing relationships that achieve virtuous integration” and the EU should allow the UK to “form its own regulatory structure which will make the UK economy huge savings and will best serve the City and other service sectors’ ability to compete in world financial markets”.
“Currently, the EU has poor and inflexible institutions for dealing with competing economic demands and the changing economic environment, said IEA research director Philip Booth said. “It is a highly interventionist organisation, with a strong bias for ‘top-down’ regulation and a ‘socialist’ mind-set that is economically damaging.”
Pro-EU groups, however, rejected the IEA report, calling it a “work of fiction” and a “new low from the leave campaigns”.

EU referendum: European Council President Donald Tusk says "challenging negotiations ahead" to secure final reform deal
2 February 2016 by Lauren Fedor
European Council President Donald Tusk has today published his long-awaited response to Prime Minister David Cameron's renegotiation efforts, tabling the EU's own proposals for a "new settlement" on the Britain's relationship with the European Union.
In a letter to the heads of state and government for all 28 EU member states, Tusk said his draft agreement "goes really far in addressing all the concerns raised" by Cameron, but added: "The line I did not cross, however, were the principles on which the European project is founded."
"This has been a difficult process and there are still challenging negotiations ahead," Tusk added. "Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed."
The circulation of the draft agreement kicks off another two weeks of high-stakes negotiations ahead of the European Council meeting later this month. Cameron has said that he wants to secure a final deal at the meeting, paving the way to hold an In/Out vote as soon as June.

Euromaidan Unmasked: Europe Shocked by the Bitter Truth on Ukraine
By Oriental Review
Global Research, February 04, 2016
Oriental Review 3 February 2016
The hard-hitting documentary by Paul Moreira “Ukraine, les masques de la révolution” [Ukraine: Masks of the Revolution], released on Monday night by Canal+, created a turmoil both in Ukraine and France well before the premiere.
On Sunday the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported in Facebook that their Ambassador in France had sent an outraged letter to Canal+ where he condemned the documentary as a “a pamphlet at the height of the worst disinformation traditions” “using primitive methods of journalistic manipulation, including the handling of comments of respondents, distorted in translation and facts and purely fabricated images“. The same day Le Monde doubled the pressure on Canal+.
Paul Moreira has calmly and respectfully responded to his critics by a detailed post translated into English here. To the credit of Canal Plus’ management, the documentary was screened in time:
[The video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Preiere Lignes TV]
Please watch it attentively. And let’s try to understand why it has infuriated the Kiev regime
To be fair, the masterpiece did not reveal anything new.
So far there were a lot of separate investigations by international organizations, NGOs, concerned individuals etc on different aspects of the “Revolution of Dignity“: who actually killed the “heavenly hundred“, what happened in Odessa in May 2014, what is going on in the zone of “anti-terrorist operation” in the South-East of Ukraine, where are the “Russian troops” and where are the Western mercenaries there… But most of them were successfully ignored by the mainstream Western media, stick to their comfortable myths about Euromaidan.
The principal danger of Paul Moreira’s heartbreaking 50-minutes long documentary is that it exposed all critically important lies and silenced facts about “Revolution of Dignity” and its agents in a concentrated form at the established French TV channel.
Paul Moreira did not do anything but showed a simple and honest truth – there was no dignity in that “revolution”. There is no “free civilizational choice” and “independent and legitimate authorities” in today’s Ukraine. There are gangsters licensed to kill and rob, psychopaths and criminals in the “democratic parliament”, parallel Nazi-inspired army, foreign officials who manipulate the political process in a sovereign country, media under total nationalist control etc. His argumentation and picture are so evident, eloquent and bright that there is no reasonable way to refute them. Here is the cause of hysteria and calls to ban (which paradoxically has triggered unprecedented public attention to the movie far beyond France) – they understand that an open and fair discussion would lead further undesirable revelations against the interim rulers in Kiev.
One more pleasant outcome of this story is that the rumors about clinical death of the independent journalism in the West are apparently somewhat exaggerated…

The IMF’s Prescription for Europe: Exploit Refugees with Low Wages

By Nadia Prupis
Global Research, February 03, 2016
Common Dreams and Committee for the Abolition of Third World Debt 25 January 2016
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in January released a report urging the European countries accepting a majority of refugees to “temporarily” pay them less than the minimum wage.
In its report, the IMF recommended implementing a short-term differentiation between asylum seekers and EU citizens, by way of “temporary and limited derogations of the minimum wage for refugees.”
That would entail giving wage subsidies to companies to employ individuals migrating to Europe to escape war, poverty, and state violence from the Middle East and North Africa, or adopting “temporary exceptions to minimum or entry level wages” for those already hired.
“International experience with economic immigrants suggests that migrants have lower employment rates and wages than natives, though these differences diminish over timea” the report, The Refugee Surge in Europe: Economic Challenges, states.
The IMF claims that the measure would help mitigate the cost of accepting refugees and allow them to find work faster. “Indeed,” the report argues, “the sooner the refugees gain employment, the more they will help the public finances by paying income tax and social security contributions.”
In fact, IMF suggested that high entry wages and stable living situations are actually a barrier to integration, writing, “Low education and poor linguistic skills likely limit the attractiveness of refugees on the job market….Easing restrictions on the geographic mobility of refugees could also allow them to go where labor market prospects are more favorable.”

Falling from High Places

NEO 01.02.2016 Author: Janet Phelan
“What you have to understand, John, is that sometimes there are forces and events too big, too powerful, with so much at stake for other people or institutions, that you cannot do anything about them, no matter how evil or wrong they are and no matter how dedicated or sincere you are or how much evidence you have. This is simply one of the hard facts of life you have to face.” - Former CIA director William Colby giving advice to his friend senator John DeCamp, urging to quit his investigations into the Franklin child abuse affair and to write a book about his experiences (The Franklin Coverup, 2nd edition, foreword).
It would seem that the four nuclear scientists massacred by “mysterious gunmen” in the outskirts of Damascus back in 2014 constitute a common occurrence that nobody notices in the middle of a warzone, but it turns out that certain political forces in the West have no more respect to the lives of their own creme-de-la-creme of the scientific and journalist worlds.
When Fox news producer Martin Burns inexplicably fell off a cliff in August of 2013, the shock waves through the legal reform community were palpable. Burns had been deeply involved in the production of a Fox 11 (Los Angeles) news series, Lost in the System, exposing corruption in Los Angeles Family Court proceedings.
According to court watcher Malinda Sherwyn, who had been working closely with Burns on the research end of the series, “We were working on evidence concerning kids who had been molested and raped. We were sending to Burns court records, medical records concerning kids who had been attacked in their homes, and what Department of Child and Family Services and the courts then did with this evidence.”
Malinda Sherwyn does not believe that Martin Burns had a simple accident. According to Sherwyn, Fox dropped the series in panic and some of the evidence she was sending Burns never aired. However, multiple episodes did make it onto the news program prior to Burns’ death.
“I contacted Gina Silva (reporter on the Lost in the System series) and asked her if she were scared,” recalls Sherwyn. “Gina said yes, she was. I asked her if she thought that Martin fell off the cliff and she said, I just can’t believe it.”
Gina Silva did not respond to calls from this reporter.
According to the legend of Icarus, who constructed wings to flee airborne from Crete, his father Daedalus warned him of hubris—extreme pride and self-confidence—and warned him not to fly too close to the sun. Icarus ignored his father’s advice and plunged into the ocean. The Icarus legend is seen to have metaphorical implications for those who may get too close to sources of power.
Falling from high places seems to be an end state plaguing a number of former researchers. When John F. Kennedy Jr.’s plane crashed in 1999, many felt the Kennedy curse was again activated. Some, however, saw a more insidious hand at play.
Although Kennedy had repeatedly stated that he was not interested in a career in politics, just prior to his death, Kennedy was considered to be a frontrunner for the New York Senate seat vacated by Daniel Moynihan. There were subsequently persistent rumors that Kennedy had planned to use the platform of his magazine, George, to expose who was behind the assassination of his father, President John F.Kennedy.
Far less famous individuals have also fallen to their deaths in circumstances that could only be considered suspicious. In 2004, when Dr. Geetha Angara’s body was found in a water tank at her workplace in New Jersey water treatment plant, her husband demanded a thorough police investigation. Angara was a chemist who calibrated the drinking water quality in the facility’s tanks. Reportedly, the Department of Homeland Security had recently held seminars at the plant.
The police came up empty handed.
After ten years, her homicide case may be reopened. Her husband, Jaya Angara, told this reporter he was aware of reports implicating Homeland Security with deliberate water contamination and that he did not know if his wife had voiced concerns about this.

French and U.S. statements on Aleppo victory belie feigned care for the Syrians, says Foreign Minist

4 February
Damascus, SANA – Foreign and Expatriates Ministry wondered at the statements of the foreign ministers of France and the US on the Syrian Arab army’s recent victory in Aleppo.
The French and U.S. statements, which imply bewilderment at the army’s victories, are quite odd, an official source at the Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The army sealed an important victory on Wednesday by breaking the long time terrorist siege of Nubbul and al-Zahraa towns in the northern countryside of Aleppo province, which followed a series of other previous victories.
The siege, which was imposed by the two terrorist organizations of Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham among others, lasted for three and a half years, during which the locals showed “an unrelenting resilience and unshakable confidence in victory over the terrorists,” according to the source.
With this victory, over 60,000 Syrians were freed as the “brutal siege” came to an end, said the source.

Washington’s Secret War in Syria Uncovered

NEO 01.02.2016 Author: Vladimir Odintsov
The CIA and the intelligence agencies of several US allies in the Middle Eastern conflicts have recently been uncovered by the New York Times. The newspaper cites a number of unnamed White House officials that point out that Saudi Arabia has been keeping the role that Washington played in different conflicts throughout the region a secret. Moreover, Saudi officials have been heavily sponsoring US regional engagement, financing operations carried out by American special forces units.
The New York Times notes that “business” relations between the CIA and Saudi Arabia can be traced back to the end of 1970s, when sheikhs from Riyadh organized the so-called Safari Club - “a coalition of nations including Morocco, Egypt and France — that ran covert operations around Africa at a time when Congress had clipped the C.I.A.’s wings over years of abuses.”
There’s little doubt that this step was followed by the funding of CIA operations in Afghanistan, Angola and other parts of the world, and the subsequent creation of Al-Qaeda, the Islamic State and the likes of them, that have been heavily supplied with arms and money.
As for the war in Syria, the CIA and Saudi Arabia back in 2013 agreed to conduct a joint operation under the codename: Timber Sycamore, the prime goal of which was the toppling of the legitimately elected Syrian president. Under this agreement, the Saudis have been providing arms and resources, while the CIA trained “insurgents” before deploying to the battlefield. The newspaper names other “sponsors” of the CIA campaign: Turkey, Jordan and Qatar. Although the exact amount of the “contribution” of each of the states to the secret operation in Syria remains unknown, it is mentioned that Saudi Arabia has been one of the main sponsors, providing billions of dollars.
Thanks to The New York Times, we can now confirm that in the period from 2012 to 2014 Prince Bandar bin Sultan the then director general of the Saudi Intelligence Agency bought Raytheon anti-tank TOW missiles to arm extremist groups. Those groups have already joined al-Qaeda and now are using this equipment against government forces in Syria. The CIA station chief oversaw all of these operations, since he had better business and personal relations with Saudi authorities than even the US ambassador. These issues were discussed at least once a month in Washington by Prince Bandar himself and the former director of the CIA.

Lyashko: "Why Is Putin Blamed, If the Government Is Stealing and Lying?"

The leader of the Radical Party of Ukraine, Oleh Lyashko, made a statement to journalists in the country. He said that Putin is not to blame for the fact that people have nothing to eat, and the authorities are corrupt.
"Why does Putin get the blame, if the government steals and lies to the people?!" - this emotional statement was made by Lyashko to journalists in the Parliament building.
"There is no reason to blame the mirror if the face is crooked", said the leader of the party. The country has the largest unemployment rate in nearly a quarter of a century, the fall of GDP has reached a critical point. And all are being blamed on Putin and the war.
Lyashko issued accusations against the existing Ukrainian authorities: "Why is Putin blamed, if it's you that steals?". According to his statement, the authorities deceive people, accepting corrupt and lobbied laws.

Saudi Arabia Declares Its Ground Forces Ready to Invade Syria

Sputnik 04.02.2016
A Saudi military spokesman has confirmed that Riyadh is prepared to join any US-led ground operations to fight Daesh, also known as IS/Islamic State, in Syria, if such operations are approved by the coalition.
"The kingdom is ready to participate in any ground operations that the coalition (against Islamic State) may agree to carry out in Syria," Brigadier General Ahmed Asseri told al-Arabiya TV. Asseri is also the spokesman for the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen.
"If there was a consensus from the leadership of the coalition, the kingdom is willing to participate in these efforts because we believe that aerial operations are not the ideal solution and there must be a twin mix of aerial and ground operations," Asseri added.
Asked about the report, US State Department spokesman John Kirby said that the coalition is generally welcome to its partners increasing support in the fight against Daesh, but could not comment specifically on Asseri's comments.

What the media wants you to believe.
Turkey denies it is preparing to invade Syria
[International Business Times]
Karthick Arvinth
International Business Times
5 February 2016
Turkey has rejected Russia's accusations that it is preparing to launch a military invasion of neighbouring Syria. Russian military spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said on 4 February that there had been "a growing number of signs of hidden preparation" of Turkish forces near the Syrian border.
A senior official in the office of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Moscow had levelled the accusations to divert attention from its own military campaign in Syria. Russia cut ties with Turkey after a Russian bomber was shot down by a Turkish F-16 fighter jet in November 2015.
The rivals have traded several barbs and accusations since the incident, with Russia accusing Turkey of buying oil from the Islamic State (Isis) militant group while Moscow has been accused of disproportionately targeting civilians in its air strikes in Syria.
"The Russians are trying to hide their crimes in Syria," the Turkish source was quoted as saying by the Reuters agency. "They are simply diverting attention from their attacks on civilians as a country already invading Syria. Turkey has all the rights to take any measures to protect its own security."
Speaking at a donor conference for Syria in London, Davutoglu accused Russian and Syrian regime forces of cutting off the humanitarian corridor between Turkey and the Syrian city of Aleppo and seeking to starve the population of the city into submission.
Regime forces backed by Russian air strikes have made gains in Aleppo, with the Turkish prime minister saying the renewed fighting had led to tens of thousands of people fleeing the city. "This humanitarian logistic corridor is now under the invasion of these foreign fighters and regime forces [with] the support of Russian war planes," Davutoglu was reported as saying.
"What they want to do in Aleppo today is exactly what they did in Madaya before, a siege of starvation." The five-year Syrian civil war has claimed the lives of more than 250,000 people. An estimated 4.5 million people have fled the country and some 6.5 million have been internally displaced.

MIT States That Half of All Children May be Autistic by 2025 due to Monsanto

NEO 26.01.2015 Author: Janet Phelan
A senior scientist at MIT has declared that we are facing an epidemic of autism that may result in one half of all children being affected by autism in ten years.
Dr. Stephanie Seneff, who made these remarks during a panel presentation in Groton, MA last week, specifically cites the Monsanto herbicide, Roundup, as the culprit for the escalating incidence of autism and other neurological disorders. Roundup, which was introduced in the 1970’s, contains the chemical glyphosate, which is the focal point for Seneff’s concerns. Roundup was originally restricted to use on weeds, as glyphosate kills plants. However, Roundup is now in regular use with crops. With the coming of GMO’s, plants such as soy and corn were bioengineered to tolerate glyphosate, and its use dramatically increased. From 2001 to 2007, glyphosate use doubled, reaching 180 to 185 million pounds in the U.S. alone in 2007.
If you don’t consume corn- on- the -cob or toasted soybeans, however, you are hardly exempt from the potential affects of consuming glyphosate. Wheat is now sprayed with Roundup right before it is harvested, making any consumption of non- organic wheat bread a sure source for the chemical. In addition, any products containing corn syrup, such as soft drinks, are also carrying a payload of glyphosate.
According to studies cited by Seneff, glyphosate engages “gut bacteria” in a process known as the shikimate pathway. This enables the chemical to interfere with the biochemistry of bacteria in our GI tract, resulting in the depletion of essential amino acids .
Monsanto has maintained that glyphosate is safe for human consumption, as humans do not have the shikimate pathway. Bacteria, however, does—including the flora that constitutes “gut bacteria.”
It is this ability to affect gut bacteria that Seneff claims is the link which allows the chemical to get on board and wreak further damage. The connection between intestinal flora and neurological functioning is an ongoing topic of research. According to a number of studies, glyphosate depletes the amino acids tyrosine, tryptophan, and phenylalanine, which can then contribute to obesity, depression, autism, inflammatory bowel disease, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
Monsanto disagrees. The food and chemical giant has constructed a webpage with links to scientific studies pronouncing the safety of glyphosate.

Georgia’s Pankisi Gorge In the News Again: Still Too Many Awkward Questions

NEO 04.02.2016 Author: Seth Ferris
Georgian_Army_soldiersAs the links between various rogue elements in the former Georgian Intelligence Services, Turkey and ISIL, the Islamic State, become ever more obvious increasing numbers of questions are being asked about activities in the Pankisi Gorge, one of the products of this unholy alliance. These are now becoming increasingly troubling for Georgia and its sponsor, the United States, as it is a known fact that US intelligence has used the no-go valley as a training base, and that the products of that training are now key commanders of the so-called “freedom fighters” in Syria.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has stated directly that Pankisi Gorge is now being used as a training base by ISIL itself, not the US. “We are getting reports that IS militants use this remote area to train, rest and replenish their reserves,” Lavrov told a press conference in Moscow on January 26th. He added that it hasn’t been possible to open the borders since a visa regime was introduced between Russia and Georgia back in 2000 largely because the “terrorist threat coming from the Pankisi Gorge has not faded.”
The Russian Foreign Minister is bound to say that, isn’t he? But everyone else has had the chance to prove him wrong since 2000, as this reason has been given extensively since then. Instead the area has been sealed off, a large number of relatively well-paid non-Georgians have moved in and graduates from there have joined US-supported forces without any concerns about “interoperability”, the reason so many joint military trainings are held for allied countries.
As these allegations are affecting the free movement of its citizens, and would be a serious threat to its security if true, Georgia should investigate them. But nothing has ever been done, by any of Georgia’s governments. This tells you all you need to know about the nature of Pankisi Gorge. All that’s missing is the detail – and that is becoming clearer with each passing day.
Written in Infamy
The history of Pankisi has been reported in this journal and by various independent journalists. It was set up by US intelligence as a ploy to destabilise Russia. This was derailed by 9/11 and its aftermath, but by that time the operation was functioning well, and serving too many political and financial interests, especially those of Turkish intelligence, so could not just be closed down.
It is this which was being investigated by Roddy Scott, a British journalist. He was killed in September 2002 whilst filming the crossfire between the Russian army and a group of Chechen fighters who had illegally crossed the border to carry out an assault on Grozny. He was part of a joint investigation of how these Mercedes-driving Chechens were being funded, and their links to intelligence services.
