Did the Cameron regime advance instituted fascism/corporatism?
10 Steps To Defeat The Obama Corporatocracy aka; Rothschild Fascism!
Nov14, 2012

Many Americans know that the United States is not a Republic but a [PLC] “corporatocracy,” in which we are ruled by a partnership of giant corporations, the extremely wealthy elite and corporate-collaborator government officials. However, the truth of such tyranny is not enough to set most of us free to take action. Too many of us have become pacified by corporatocracy-created institutions and culture.
Some activists insist that this political passivity problem is caused by Americans’ ignorance due to corporate media propaganda, and others claim that political passivity is caused by the inability to organize due to a lack of money. However, polls show that on the important issues of our day – from senseless wars, to Wall Street bailouts, to corporate tax-dodging, to health insurance rip-offs – the majority of Americans are not ignorant to the reality that they are being screwed. And American history is replete with organizational examples – from the Underground Railroad, to the Great Populist Revolt, to the Flint sit-down strike, to large wildcat strikes a generation ago – of successful rebels who had little money but lots of guts and solidarity.
The elite spend their lives stockpiling money and have the financial clout to bribe, divide and conquer the rest of us. The only way to overcome the power of money is with the power of courage and solidarity. When we regain our guts and solidarity, we can then more wisely select from – and implement – time-honored strategies and tactics that oppressed peoples have long used to defeat the elite. So, how do we regain our guts and solidarity?

1. Create the Cultural and Psychological “Building Blocks” for Democratic Movements
Historian Lawrence Goodwyn has studied democratic movements such as Solidarity in Poland, and he has written extensively about the populist movement in the United States that occurred during the end of the 19th century (what he calls “the largest democratic mass movement in American history”). Goodwyn concludes that democratic movements are initiated by people who are neither resigned to the status quo nor intimidated by established powers. For Goodwyn, the cultural and psychological building blocks of democratic movements are individual self-respect and collective self-confidence. Without individual self-respect, we do not believe that we are worthy of power or capable of utilizing power wisely, and we accept as our role being a subject of power. Without collective self-confidence, we do not believe that we can succeed in wresting away power from our rulers.
Thus, it is the job of all of us – from parents, to students, to teachers, to journalists, to clergy, to psychologists, to artists and EVERYBODY who gives a damn about genuine democracy – to create individual self-respect and collective self-confidence.

2. Confront and Transform ALL Institutions that Have Destroyed Individual Self-Respect and Collective Self-Confidence
In “Get Up, Stand Up, ” I detail 12 major institutional and cultural areas that have broken people’s sprit of resistance, and all are “battlefields for democracy” in which we can fight to regain our individual self-respect and collective self confidence:
•    Television
•    Isolation and bureaucratization
•    “Fundamentalist consumerism” and advertising/propaganda
•    Student loan debt and indentured servitude
•    Surveillance
•    The decline of unions/solidarity among working people
•    Greed and a “money-centric” culture
•    Fear-based schools that teach obedience
•    Psychopathologizing noncompliance
•    Elitism via professional training
•    The corporate media
•    The US electoral systemAs Ralph Waldo Emerson observed, “All our things are right and wrong together. The wave of evil washes all our institutions alike.”

3. Side Each Day in Every Way With Anti-Authoritarians
We can recover our self-respect and strength by regaining our integrity. This process requires a personal transformation to overcome our sense of powerlessness and fight for what we believe in. Integrity includes acts of courage resisting all illegitimate authorities. We must recognize that in virtually every aspect of our life in every day, we can either be on the side of authoritarianism and the corporatocracy or on the side of anti-authoritarianism and democracy. Specifically, we can question the legitimacy of government, media, religious, educational and other authorities in our lives, and if we establish that an authority is not legitimate, we can resist it. And we can support others who are resisting illegitimate authorities. A huge part of solidarity comes from supporting others who are resisting the illegitimate authorities in their lives. Walt Whitman had it right: “Resist much, obey little. Once unquestioning obedience, once fully enslaved.”

4. Regain Morale by Thinking More Critically About Our Critical Thinking
While we need critical thinking to effectively question and challenge illegitimate authority – and to wisely select the best strategies and tactics to defeat the elite – critical thinking can reveal some ugly truths about reality, which can result in defeatism. Thus, critical thinkers must also think critically about their defeatism, and realize that it can cripple the will and destroy motivation, thus perpetuating the status quo.
William James (1842–1910), the psychologist, philosopher, and occasional political activist (member of the Anti-Imperialist League who, during the Spanish-American War, said, “God da** the US for its vile conduct in the Philippine Isles!”) had a history of pessimism and severe depression, which helped fuel some of his greatest wisdom on how to overcome immobilization. James, a critical thinker, had little stomach for what we now call “positive thinking,” but he also came to understand how losing belief in a possible outcome can guarantee its defeat.
Antonio Gramsci (1891–1937), an Italian political theorist and Marxist activist who was imprisoned by Mussolini, came to the same conclusions. Gramsci’s phrase “pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will” has inspired many critical thinkers, including the most famous George Washington, who maintained The Continental Army’s efforts in the face of difficult challenges by The British Puritans.

5. Restore Courage in Young People
The corporatocracy has not only decimated America’s labor union movement, it has almost totally broken the spirit of resistance among young Americans – an even more frightening achievement. Historically, young people without family responsibilities have felt most freed up to challenge illegitimate authority. But America’s education system creates fear, shame and debt – all killers of the spirit of resistance. No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top and standardized testing tyranny results in the kind of fear that crushes curiosity, critical thinking and the capacity to constructively resist illegitimate authority.

Rebel teachers, parents, and students – in a variety of overt and covert ways – have already stopped complying with corporatocracy schooling. We must also stop shaming intelligent young people who reject college, and we must instead recreate an economy that respects all kinds of intelligence and education. While the corporatocracy exploits student loan debt to both rake in easy money and break young people’s spirit of resistance, the rest of us need to rebel against student loan debt and indentured servitude. And parents and mental health professionals need to stop behavior-modifying and medicating young people who are resisting illegitimate authority.

6. Focus on Republic Battlefields Where the Corporate Elite Don’t Have Such a Large Financial Advantage
The emphasis of many activists is on electoral politics, but the elite have a huge advantage in this battlefield, where money controls the US electoral process. By focusing exclusively on electoral politics at the expense of everything else, we: (1) give away power when we focus only on getting leaders elected and become dependent on them; (2) buy into the elite notion that democracy is all about elections; (3) lose sight of the fact that democracy means having influence over all aspects of our lives; and (4) forget that if we have no power in our workplace, in our education and in all our institutions, then there will never be democracy worthy of the name. Thus, we should focus our fight more on the daily institutions we experience. As Wendell Berry said, “If you can control a people’s economy, you don’t need to worry about its politics; its politics have become irrelevant.”

7. Heal from “Corporatocracy Abuse” and “Battered People’s Syndrome” to Gain Strength
Activists routinely become frustrated when truths about lies, victimization and oppression don’t set people free to take action. But when we human beings eat crap for too long, we gradually lose our self-respect to the point that we become psychologically too weak to take action. Many Americans are embarrassed to accept that, after years of corporatocracy subjugation, we have developed “battered people’s syndrome” and what Bob Marley called “mental slavery.” To emancipate ourselves and others, we must:
•    Move out of denial and accept that we are a subjugated people.
•    Admit that we have bought into many lies. There is a dignity, humility, and strength in facing the fact that, while we may have once bought into some lies, we no longer do so.
•    Forgive ourselves and others for accepting the abuser’s lies. Remember the liars  we face are often quite good at lying.
•    Maintain a sense of humor. Victims of horrific abuse, including those in  concentration camps and slave plantations, have discovered that pain can either  immobilize us or be transformed by humor into energy.
•    Stop beating ourselves up for having been in an abusive relationship. The energy  we have is better spent on healing and then working to change the abusive system;  this provides more energy, and when we use this energy to provide respect and  confidence for others, everybody gets energized.

8. Unite Populists by Rejecting Corporate Media’s Political Divisions
The corporate media routinely divides Americans as “liberals,” “conservatives” and “moderates,” a useful division for the corporatocracy, because no matter which of these groups is the current electoral winner, the corporatocracy retains power. In order to defeat the corporatocracy, it’s more useful to divide people in terms of authoritarians versus anti-authoritarians, elitists versus populists and corporatists versus anticorporatists. Both left anti-authoritarians and libertarian anti-authoritarians passionately oppose current US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Wall Street bailout, the PATRIOT Act, the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the so-called “war on drugs” and several other corporatocracy policies.
There are differences between anti-authoritarians but, as Ralph Nader and Ron Paul have together recently publicly discussed, we can form coalitions and alliances on these important power-money issues. One example of an anti-authoritarian democratic movement (which I am involved in) is the mental health treatment reform movement, comprised of left anti-authoritarians and libertarians. We all share distrust of Big Pharma and contempt for pseudoscience, and we believe that people deserve truly informed choice regarding treatment. We respect Erich Fromm, the democratic-socialist psychoanalyst, along with Thomas Szasz, the libertarian psychiatrist, both passionate anti-authoritarians who have confronted mental health professionals for using dogma to coerce people.

Americans March Against Obama In The +2,000,000 People Protest
That MSNBC said were only about 500. September 12, 2010

9. Unite “Comfortable Anti-Authoritarians” and “Afflicted Anti-Authoritarians
This “comfortable-afflicted” continuum is based on the magnitude of pain that one has simply getting through the day. The term comfortable anti-authoritarian is not a pejorative one, but refers to those anti-authoritarians lucky enough to have decent paying and maybe even meaningful jobs, or platforms through which their voices are heard or social supports in their lives.
Many of these comfortable anti-authoritarians may know that there are millions of Americans working mindless jobs in order to hold on to their health insurance, or hustling two low-wage jobs to pay college loans, rent and a car payment, or who may be unable to find even a poorly paying, mindless job and are instead helplessly watching eviction or foreclosure and bankruptcy close in on them. However, unless these comfortable anti-authoritarians have once been part of that afflicted class – and remember what it feels like – they may not be able to fully respect the afflicted’s emotional state.
The afflicted need to recognize that human beings often become passive because they are overwhelmed by pain (not because they are ignorant, stupid, or lazy), and in order to function at all, they often shut down or distract themselves from this pain. Some comfortable anti-authoritarians assume that people’s inactions are caused by ignorance. This not only sounds and smells like elitism, it creates resentment for many in the afflicted class who lack the energy to be engaged in any activism. Respect, resources and anything that concretely reduces their level of pain is likely to be far more energizing than a scolding lecture. That’s the lesson of many democratic movements, including the Great Populist Revolt.

10. Do Not Let Debate Divide Anti-Authoritarians
Spirited debate is what democracy is all about, but when debate turns to mutual antipathy and divides anti-authoritarians, it plays into the hands of the elite. One such divide among anti-elitists is over the magnitude of change that should be worked for and celebrated. On one extreme are people who think that anything is better than nothing at all. At the other extreme are people who reject any incremental change and hold out for total transformation.
We can better unite by asking these questions: Does the change increase individual self-respect and collective self-confidence, and increase one’s energy level to pursue even greater democracy? Or does it feel like a sellout that decreases individual self-respect and collective self-confidence, and de-energizes us? Utilizing the criteria of increased self-respect and collective self-confidence, those of us who believe in genuine democracy can more constructively debate whether the change is going to increase strength to gain democracy or is going to take the steam out of a democratic movement. Respecting both sides of this debate makes for greater solidarity and better decisions.

To summarize, democracy will not be won without guts and solidarity. Risk-free green actions – such as shopping from independents, buying local, recycling, composting, consuming less, not watching television and so on – can certainly help counter a dehumanizing world. However, revolutions that truly transform fundamental power inequities and enable us to feel like men and women rather than children and slaves require risk, guts and solidarity.

A Global Financial Reset Is Coming: ‘A Deal Is Being Made Between All The Central Banks’
Mac Slavo Activist Post
There is an unprecedented reset coming to world financial markets, and if you’ve been paying attention it’s impossible to ignore the signs. In fact mega-investment funds, governments and central banks have been secretly buying up and storing physical gold in anticipation of an event that will leave the U.S. dollar effectively worthless and governments around the world angling for a new global currency mechanism, according to mining executive Keith Neumeyer.
But before the reset can happen Neumeyer, who recently founded First Mining Finance and has partnered with billionaire alternative asset investors like Eric Sprott and Rick Rule, says that foreign creditors must first deleverage their U.S. dollar debt, a move that is happening right now and is evidenced by the recent strength of the U.S. dollar.
Once these U.S. debt holders unwind their positions, however, the dollar will be allowed to crash and we should prepare for a total financial, economic and monetary realignment.
With the central banks now buying gold… which is quite unique… we haven’t seen that in our lifetimes… they’ve always been sellers of gold and now they’re buyers of gold… I think there will be a reset of the financial industry…
I think China is being allowed to accumulate gold purposefully by the American government… I believe that the Chinese need to own at least the same amount as the U.S. owns before this reset occurs. I think that there’s some kind of deal that’s being made between all the central banks behind the scenes and that’s why you’re seeing governments accumulating the metal.
I do believe there will be some kind of new currency created with the backing… and it might not be a direct backing of the metal… but it’ll be some kind of blend of currency.. it could be through SDR’s… Special Drawing Rights… or some type of mechanism… I think that’s where we’re going.
And when that reset occurs I think gold will be left to rise… and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see three…four… five thousand dollar gold over the next five years.

Cost of Negative Bank Rates
James Hall – April 8, 2015
So you thought that the unimaginable could not happen. The signal is heard loud and clear. Keeping your money in a fiduciary account will not only earn no interest; there will be an actual cost of parking your funds in a bank relationship. The madness that has engulfed the financial sector is preparing to escalate the systematic looting of saved capital. Ponder the consequences of negative bank rates and ask, what exactly can anyone do or where can they place their money for safekeeping. The first objective of entrusting your funds to a financial institution is to have the ability to obtain access to the return of your capital.
The Less Than Zero article analysis explains accordingly.
“Since central banks rates provide a benchmark for all borrowing costs across a country’s economy, yields on a range of fixed-income securities – including government bonds of countries like France and Germany – also slipped below zero. Banks are reluctant to pass on negative rates to retail depositors for fear of losing customers, even though that hurts their profit.
In theory, interest rates below zero should reduce borrowing costs for companies and households, driving demand for loans. In practice, there’s a risk that the policy might do more harm than good.”
Only a dullard would believe that banking institutions will not eventually drop their interest rate pay outs to depositors, as their own costs are taxed or central banking policy demands that the value of the currency must be diminished.
The example that Australia Wants To Tax Bank Deposits: Will The US Follow? This report poses an obvious question for anyone keeping money in the depository system.
“Several months ago, the government of Australia proposed to tax bank deposits up to $250,000 at a rate of 0.05% (5 basis points). To be clear, the proposal seems to plan on taxing the banks based on the amount of deposits they’re holding—but it’s pretty obvious this will be passed on to consumers in the form of lower interest rates.”
1. Taxes on bank deposits are generally the same as negative interest rates.
2. Taxes always start small… then increase over time.
3. Taxes are rarely used for their stated purpose.
4. If this can happen in Australia, is anyone foolish enough to think it can’t happen in the US or Europe?

Corporatism 101
James Hall
Regular readers of this Corporatocracy series should have a firm grasp on the concept of Corporatism. However, the uninitiated might presume that a corporation is merely a vehicle for protecting the owners of the enterprise from the liability risks of conducting business. Much attention has been devoted to the economic conditions and aspects when examining the corporate structure. But modest effort is found in business journals that discuss the social consequences of consolidating the entire hierarchy of political favoritism, access to capital and protection from competition that is at the heart of the corporatist model.
Corporatism as Theory and Practice by Joseph R. Stromberg offers a historic perspective.
“Corporatism and corporations are not yet the same subject. The key word is “yet.” If there is a relationship, it is historical. Very briefly, corporations — legally privileged from birth, pampered by courts, subsidized by Congress, with a social “in” with the most important state personnel — were likely, as ideal engines for accumulating capital, to produce unbalanced economic outcomes, mass discontent, and political unrest. Combine those engines with inherited dysfunctional institutions such as fractional-reserve banking, eminent domain, primitive military accumulation (e.g., the Indian wars), governmental distribution of resources, a venal party system, and a mighty executive, and you have a recipe for crisis. American elites recognized the danger fairly early. By trial and error they put together “corporate syndicalism” (Williams), “political capitalism” (Kolko), corporatism (varii), or “interest-group liberalism” (Lowi). It remained to be seen who (business or state?) would dominate the partnership. Hoover himself reflected in 1922 on the danger of “a syndicalist nation on a gigantic scale.”

Paradise Stolen - The Myth of Terrorism
Activist Post
Part 1 of this video series from Stefan Verstappen was a warning to children about a world that was stolen from them. It offered a stark condemnation to adults who continue to ignore the reality of the wicked ways in which government has used their money, both donated and extorted.
Part 2 suggested that the innate practicality of small, sustainable communities is a solution to the massive mismanagement by a government dedicated solely to a megacorporate/banker/war economy. Our modern economic system is actually not one built upon efficiency, as it is often believed to be; it is a system of massive inefficiency and predation, which has directly resulted in the bankrupt and war-ravaged world we see around us.
Part 3 made the controversial argument that overpopulation is a myth, once again designed to steal our natural rights and turn our lives over to a system of centralized management.
Now in part 4, Stefan turns his attention to the increasingly pervasive myth of terrorism. Is the government really being truthful when it claims that it is "trying to keep you safe"? Is spending $6 trillion actually getting the job done? Can government continue violating the rights of people across the planet and still maintain any claim to a moral high ground? This, and more, compounds the myth of terrorism firmly installed in the American psyche following 9/11 ...

"Al-Qaeda Linked Rebels" Are Al-Qaeda
Brandon Turbeville Activist Post
Since the beginning of the Western-backed foreign invasion of jihadist terrorists into Syria in late 2010, the American and Western mainstream media has attempted to present the death squad fighters on the ground as two-sided – one group being Islamist extremists and the other being “moderate rebels.” As I have documented extensively, this characterization is entirely inaccurate as there is no such thing as a moderate rebel in Syria. Still, this information has not stopped major media outlets from producing presentations in stark contrast to the facts.
In recent months, however, as more and more evidence surfaces proving the official narrative of the existence of “moderate rebels” to be false, the corporate media outlets have taken to yet more propaganda-based name-changes and distortion surrounding the proxy forces fighting on the ground inside Syria.
For instance, al-Nusra Front forces are now being referred to as “Al-Qaeda-linked” fighters and being painted as if they are a mixture of moderate agents who are also willing to work with anyone that has similar objectives as themselves, even al-Qaeda.
The truth, however, is that al-Nusra is not merely “al-Qaeda-linked” but that it is al-Qaeda itself.

The F-35, the Scam of the Century
Voltaire Network 16 August 2014
The F-35 is the largest weapons program in history. This multi-role aircraft is built by Lockheed Martin with Northrop Grumman and BAE Systems as major partners.
It should equip the armies of Australia, Canada, Denmark, the United States, Israel, Italy, Japan, Norway, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Turkey for the next 40 years and replace the F-16, F-18 and F-22.
However, its production started while essential aeronautical software has not yet been invented. The defense industries of buyer states were left out in favor of the USA, without knowing whether this system will be delivered or not.
[..] According to an independent Canadian study by Professor Michael Byers for the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Rideau Institute, the truth is much darker: in truth, no one can know the exact cost of an aircraft that has not been precisely designed. However, the 65 aircraft ordered by Canada would likely cost a staggering $ 1.5 billion USD per aircraft over 40 years (in 2007, the United States assured that the aircraft would not cost more than the F-18 and estimated its cost at about 377 million dollars each).

This New Study Is Bad News if You're a Marijuana Supporter
April 12, 2015 By Sean Williams
Marijuana legalization may not be a top priority of Congress or President Obama, but the American public is certainly doing its best to make it apparent that marijuana is an important issue.
We've seen a complete transformation of the American public's opinion of marijuana and even individual state law over the past two decades. What once was an illegal substance in all 50 states is now legal from the aspect of medical purposes in 23 states, and legal from a recreational, adult-use standpoint in four states.
The driving force behind marijuana's expansion
Opinion concerning marijuana among the public has been the driving force, with Gallup's and the General Social Survey's latest marijuana opinion polls suggesting that, for the first time ever, a majority of the public favors the legalization of marijuana. In polls that separate the idea of medical marijuana legalization from recreational legalization, medical marijuana typically boasts a higher percentage of public support.
Source: Flickr user Rafael Castillo.
This support was on display earlier this week, when a Quinnipac poll was released that showed the states of Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania favored the recreational and medical legalization of marijuana. Per Quinnipac's survey, 55% of Floridians, 52% of Ohio voters, and 51% of Pennsylvania voters favor a sweeping legalization of marijuana. When it pertained to just medical marijuana, the support jumps to 84% in Florida and Ohio, and a whopping 88% in Pennsylvania.

Mostly for the comments.
I suspect big pharma and or another industry that would lose out by legalisation has been behind increasing potency in order to make it addictive (fail). 22% THC is not uncommon. I've seen ppl black out after smoking a full joint, like a bottle of whisky compared to 2 or 3 pints. It is a far less pleasant smoke at that strength. So the promoters may be on a loser as ppl just use less. To my mind around 12% is the ideal level where the silliness level still permits reasonable conversation and mobility is less impaired. That is only achievable in the market through quality control via legalisation. Still leaves a much smaller unregulated market for skunkoholics devoted to, maybe psychologically addicted to the strong shit. Gods forbid Monsanto should ever get into it, another weapon of mass brain destruction like glyphosphate poisoned wheat, corn and soy maybe.
If/when we get a human government the authorities should work with "legal high" developers to test the product for safety before release and for mutual profit.
Imagine Boudicca's public and the pagans being banned from drinking mead and eating magic mushrooms. Zios are a strange race that indoctrinates humans weirder than themselves.

[Surely that should read "...collaborate with the banksters' minions?"]
April 12, 2015 By Andre Vltchek
Most of the collaborators support similar political ideas – almost all of them are right wing, pro-Western and neoliberal.
It is much easier to rule over those people who have lost all their dignity.
There is no reason to fear resistance where cynical consumerism, lack of knowledge, and constant anxiety are shaping the behavioral patterns of a nation; of most of its citizens.
The West made an art form out of controlling the world. Its once rough and simple ‘divide and rule’ tactics have reached, with time, greatvirtuosity. What Richter, Rostropovich or Argerich did for the art of Western classical music, people like Brzezinski, Kissinger and Negroponte matched with their brilliance in the art of destruction and terror.
In today’s world, everything is upside down. Brothers fear brothers, guerilla fighters are made to spy on each other, and heroes who are fighting forthe survival of the planet are labeled by Western regime as demagogues, strongmen or even terrorists.
The Empire successfully mobilized the most regressive elements in each society that it controls. It upheld religions, archaic family compositions and feudalist power structures in order to make rebellion almost impossible.
Albert Camus, a French philosopher, made one of the most important statements of the 20th Century, when he declared: “I rebel, therefore I exist!”
Rebellion is the engine that propels societies and individuals forward. To take it away, to shut it off, means to condemn people and entire nations to stagnation, even to regression.
Which is, of course, the main goal of the Empire. Which is why it employs and grooms entire armies of local collaborators.
The Empire created some amazing sights, all over the world: depressing, gore-filled scenes. For much of the planet, it is Halloween every day, every day and every night.
The West has many allies, many collaborators!
Bizarre bearded dudes with machineguns and portable missile launchers, decapitating infidels and blowing up the world heritage sites. That is what the Empire has been trying, painstakingly, to turn Islam into, with full-hearted support of its deranged and blood-drenched allies in the Gulf. First they murdered, sidelined or overthrew progressive, socialist Islamic leaders, and later they manufactured the most fundamentalist brands, from Al-Qaida to ISIS. Bravo! Great success. As long as the oil flows, as long as the Western weapons are sold and ‘defense budgets’ remain above one trillion. As long as there is always someone people can be told to be scared of, someone who can be used as a justification for new weaponry, and a new post-colonialist and imperialist arrangement of the world.

What is most notable in the current media generated "democracy" theatre, apart from the absence of honesty and foreign policy (the latter sold to Bilderberg) is the complete absence of morality. Even in its heyday, although they never practiced it, religions tipped a hat at morality. Modern politics has reached its lowest depths. Religion went before.

The US regime, a tool of the enemies of humanity takes a step back (Why?)
The National Institute on Drug Abuse, a US federal government research institute whose mission includes "bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction," has officially admitted that marijuana extracts can kill cancer cells.
The institute has revised a page on its website entitled “DrugFacts: Is Marijuana Medicine?” citing a recent study conducted by a group of scientists at St. George’s University, London.
"Recent animal studies have shown that marijuana extracts may help kill certain cancer cells and reduce the size of others," the NIDA report stated, adding that evidence from "one cell culture study suggests that purified extracts from whole-plant marijuana can slow the growth of cancer cells from one of the most serious types of brain tumors."
The study, published in the Molecular Cancer Therapeutics journal in November, discovered that cannabis helps "dramatically reduce" the growth of new brain cancer cells.
"The benefits of the cannabis plant elements were known before but the drastic reduction of brain cancers if used with irradiation is something new and may well prove promising for patients who are in gravely serious situations with such cancers in the future," Dr Wai Liu, Senior Research Fellow and lead researcher on the project, said.
Twenty-three US states have so far legalized marijuana in some capacity, while an additional 12 have legalized limited medical use of non-psychoactive cannabis extracts. Four states and the District of Columbia have legalized recreational marijuana. The federal government still bans marijuana use, however.

Cancer aside, where else does cannabis perform?
Reduces the likelihood of Alzheimer's by accelerating the growth of brain cells, may help with some mental abnormalities (a friend with autism feels and acts "normal" after a toot), may be a better reliever of hard drug (like alcohol, heroin, cocaine) addiction withdrawal, many such I've met in the past sell their highly addictive methadone to buy weed.
Alleviates pain, especially period pain for the sufferer and 3rd party.
It could replace fossil oil, alcohol from the plant is 20 times more plentiful for a given area than corn. And uses far less water, needs no harmful to humans pesticides like Monsantofied glyphosphate.
The first real crack in the armour of the KJ black nobility cancer that has afflicted humanity since... Before the legendary days of Jeebs at least in the case of money changers?

usual sRussian internet trolls trained to spread propaganda.
"Teams are given five keywords at the start of their shifts that they are then required to use in every single comment they write that day, such as “Shoigu,” “Russian army,” or “defence minister.” Often, employees are told they cannot conjugate the keywords or embellish them in any way — making sure the comment has all five keywords is the most important thing, even if the comment itself makes no sense.

This kind of empty pandering would insult the sensibilities of any legitimate writer or political expert. But since most of the troll factory’s employees are, in Burkhard’s words, “barely capable of formulating what’s important about these stories,” they are happy to proselytize on behalf of the Russian government.

“We don’t talk, because we can see for ourselves what the others are writing,” Burkhard said. “But in fact you don’t even have to really read it, because it’s all nonsense.”"

'Kiev govt owes its existence to Maidan extremists, not voters'
April 07, 2015
The appointment of neo-Nazi leader Dmitry Yarosh as an advisor to Ukraine’s Chief of Staff is not a surprise as the Kiev government knows it owes its existence to the Maidan fighters not voters, political analyst Dmitry Babich told RT’s In the Now.
RT:The leader of the extremist Right Sector group Dmitry Yarosh has been appointed as an advisor to Ukraine’s Chief of Staff. What do you make of this appointment?
Dmitry Babich: It’s not a surprise to me because basically he became an advisor to the Minister of Defense. But let me remind you that in the beginning of the new Kiev regime the first Defense Minister was a member of the Svoboda party, formerly known as the Social-National Party of Ukraine. I think you understand that “social-national” is a euphemism for national socialist. The Prosecutor General in Ukraine in the new regime was a member of the Svoboda party. Four ministers were members of the Svoboda party. So, basically it is still a very radical nationalist regime. The fact that the Right Sector did not win many votes at the parliamentary elections does not mean much, because a lot of its representatives made it to the Rada through other parties. For example the founder of the Social-National Party of Ukraine, Andrey Parubiy, is now the vice speaker of the Ukrainian parliament. So these people hold important positions.
RT: What message is the Ukrainian government sending by this appointment?
DB: This government owes its existence to people like Yarosh and Parubiy. Yarosh was the iron fist of the Maidan revolution. Basically he headed the people who took hold of the Presidential administration and of the building of the Rada. After that attack suddenly the Rada started to vote in a completely different way for obvious reasons. Andrey Parubiy was the commander of Maidan. So this new government understands very well that it owes its existence not to the voters but to the fighters of Maidan. And Yarosh and Parubiy were the leaders of the fighters of Maidan.

War of failure

CrossTalking with Phyllis Bennis, Bruce Fein, and James Jeffrey.
From Afghanistan to Yemen we are told we must fight terrorism over there to keep us safe here at home. The historical record tells us a very different story. Washington’s so-called war on terror has only created and motivated more violent extremists and destroyed states. As a result of failed wars, terrorism flourishes around the world.

The Other Possible Whys behind the Boston Marathon Attack
April 13, 2015 By emptywheel
As the Dzhokhar Tsarnaev trial pauses for the Marathon and the attack anniversary (and, ostensibly, to give the defense time to line up their witnesses), some competing sides have aired their views about the story not being told at the trial.
An odd piece from BoGlo’s Kevin Cullen quotes a cop asking why the FBI Agents who interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011 did not recognize him from surveillance videos.
“Who were the FBI agents who interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev after the Russians raised questions about him two years before the bombings, and why didn’t they recognize Tamerlan from the photos the FBI released?” he asked.
That’s actually a great question. But then Cullen goes onto make some assertions that — if true — should themselves elicit questions, questions he doesn’t ask. He marvels at the video analysis after the event, but doesn’t mention that the FBI claims the facial recognition software it has spent decades developing didn’t work to identify the brothers. He lauds the FBI for finding Dzhokhar’s backpack in a dumpster, but far overstates the value of the evidence found inside (remember, among other things found on a thumb drive in it was a rental application for Tamerlan’s wife). Cullen also overstates the FBI’s evidence that the bombs were made in Tamerlan’s Cambridge apartment, and so sees that as a question about why Tamerlan’s wife, Katherine, wasn’t charged (forgetting, I guess, that she was routinely gone from the apartment 70 hours a week), rather than a question about all the holes in FBI’s pressure cooker story: Why did Tamerlan pay cash for pressure cookers — as FBI suggests he did — all while carrying a mobile GPS device that he brought with him when trying to make his escape? Where did the other two pressure cookers (the third pressure cooker used as a bomb, and the one found at the apartment) come from?

The trial is as dodgy as the event.

Remarkable how closely the Saudi destruction of the ME's poorest country is following the Pentagon - NATO strategy of bringing countries to their knees. Kill civilians, destroy infrastrucre, bomb civilian buildings. All that's missing so far is the false flag gas attacks. Who's flying the planes? Mercenaries. Half the Saud forces are Yemenese apparently.
Yemen has the ability to decimate Saudi. Has the politically and societally retarded regime been thrown to the wolves?
I've seen a few ideas about the reasons for the illegal aggression. An Anglo - US supported Israeli scheme among them.

Israel slams Russia decision to lift Iran missile ban Jerusalem (AFP)
Israel on Monday denounced Russia's decision to lift a ban on supplying Iran with sophisticated S-300 air defence missile systems as proof of Tehran's newfound "legitimacy" following nuclear talks.
"This is a direct result of the legitimacy that Iran is receiving from the nuclear deal that is being prepared, and proof that the Iranian economic growth which follows the lifting of sanctions will be exploited for arming itself and not for the welfare of the Iranian people," Israeli Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz said in a statement.
