Patrick Henningsen relates the painful truth
The Painful Truth: Washington DC Thugs Have Already Crossed the Rubicon
One of the key underlying postulates of overseas wars has been somewhat lost on many Americans who have been conditioned through top-down political and mass media narratives over the years, to only see geopolitical and military events in binary form – freedom vs fascism, good vs evil, capitalism vs communist, and west vs east. The concept not mentioned in that list has been fundamental throughout history, and it is as follows: what is endorsed overseas will eventually come home to roost.

Think about it. The decades-long phase we’ve all witnessed – of the United States Federal Government’s hyper-militarisation overseas is already firmly planted on US soil.
Think about how much money and resources were spent by the US Federal government in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Iran, Egypt and now in the Ukraine, on 1) intelligence gathering, and 2) counterintelligence, and 3) social and political subversion, 4) intentional destabilisation, or 5) an end-run hostile takeover of government, and 6) the installation of a puppet regime . You have to ask yourself whether or not they can, or have already, deployed these same measures here in the United States. At the very least, we already know for certain that the US Federal government has already done the first three things in that list.
Think about how out of control expenditures by the Federal government on Afghanistan and Iraq have further plunged the country into a bottomless debt hole, all but bankrupted the United States. Some would contend that this very same process is being repeated inside the United States.
Think about how both politicians and the public caved-in to accept the hundreds of billions of dollars in no-bid contracts handed out in Afghanistan and Iraq, handed out to ‘friends of the administration’, many of which turned out to be financial black holes which produced very little in terms of value, and in many cases were billing for good and services which never existed. One must ask whether or not this kind of epic waste and opaque financial oversight is systemic with some of the Federal government’s more bloated budget agencies, namely the Department of Homeland Security – now the largest department of the US federal government – an organisation which did not even exist before 2001, which somehow manages to siphon off $60 billion each year – mostly on contracts awarded by the DHS, but no one seems to know where it actually goes and what ‘results’ are being delivered. Like Iraq and Afghanistan, the standard protocol is not to ask.
[Continues listing the various evil acts committed in the name of the administration...]

It’s important to note that all of the above was conjured, defined and implemented into policy by politicians, lawyers, corporations and think tanks. Their reshaping of reality and redefining what is legal, or ethical – has taken place far outside of the democratic process. The American people were never really consulted.
How long before American citizens are classed as collateral damage on their own shores?
If you allow it to happen overseas, then you can expect it’s only a matter of time before it happens here.

The Rubicon has already been crossed.
(Watch the video below for some additional historical context)
Brasscheck TV Shades of the Roman Empire

The Roman Empire functioned well as long as its military was overseas fighting foreigners.
Then the army “crossed the Rubicon” and that changed everything.
The US military has cross the Rubicon too and is poised to be used anytime against citizens.  All that’s missing is an “incident” to justify it.
Government maniacs have been scheming for ways to use the US military against American citizens for decades now. The law prevented it, but that didn’t stop them from planning and slowly and steadily eroding what’s considered “normal”. Oliver North, George Bush’s henchman, played a big role in this planning, as did Dick “Darth Vader” Cheney.
This video covers the important and little appreciated fact that the command structure to wage war against Americans on American soil now exists.
Watch this video of Congressman Brad Sherman on the eve of the 2008 Banker Bailout:

NATO’s Incremental Absorption of Ukraine
by Rick Rozoff

This historical review of the relations between NATO and Ukraine puts de facto into perspective one’s analysis of the events in Kiev: since 1991 and its accession to the Atlantic Cooperation Council, Ukraine has concretely moved inexorably closer to the Alliance, without ever consulting the people.

With almost 1,500 miles of land and sea connecting the two nations, the border with Ukraine is the longest along the western frontier of Russia, with that of Finland next in length. : Until the end of the Cold War only one member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization directly adjoined Russia: Norway, and that for only 135 miles, land and sea. (Though Turkey bordered other Soviet republics.)
The decade of NATO expansion beginning in 1999 brought four new members of the U.S.-dominated military bloc directly up to Russia territory: Estonia and Latvia to northwestern Russia proper and Poland and Lithuania to the non-contiguous Kaliningrad Oblast.
The acquisition of Ukraine as a full NATO member or even as it now is, a partner lending its territory, troops and general military assets to the alliance, would, with the likely prospect of Finland being enlisted in tow, cover the entire western flank of Russia from the Arctic Ocean and Barents Sea in the north to the Black Sea in the south with NATO air bases, naval docking facilities, firing ranges and training grounds, airfields, radar installations, storage compounds, cyber warfare centers, interceptor missile batteries, armored vehicles, troops and tactical nuclear weapons.
Ukraine is and for decades has been seen as the decisive linchpin in plans by the U.S. and its NATO allies to effect a military cordon sanitaire severing Russia from Europe.
In 1995, just four years after the dissolution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Ukraine became the first member of the post-Soviet Commonwealth of Independent States to join NATO’s mechanism for the eventual absorption of all of Europe and the rest of former Soviet space not already in the bloc, the Partnership for Peace. The twelve Eastern European nations that joined NATO in 1999, 2004 and 2009 are all graduates of that program. (Waiting in the wings are 22 more members of the transitional program for military integration and full NATO membership; all fourteen European countries not already members, except for Russia, the three former Soviet republics in the South Caucasus and the five in Central Asia.)
Two years later the military alliance established the Charter on a Distinctive Partnership, out of which was created the NATO-Ukraine Commission, which is active to this day; in fact more so than ever before since the violent coup d’état in Ukraine in February of this year.
In December of 2008, four months after the Georgian government of Mikheil Saakashvili invaded South Ossetia and thereby triggered a five-day war with Russia, Ukraine and Georgia were both made the recipients of the first-ever Annual National Programs crafted by NATO. Earlier in the year, at the alliance summit in Bucharest, Romania, it was announced that, although the last stage before full NATO accession – the Membership Action Plan – would not immediately be granted to the two former Soviet republics, NATO was nevertheless committed to their eventual membership. One of the Ukrainian public officials pushing for a Membership Action Plan was then-chairman of the nation’s parliament, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, now the U.S.-selected (indeed, the U.S.-imposed) prime minister and effective head of the ruling junta.
In fact, the parliamentary opposition blocked the functioning of the Verkhovna Rada from January to March of 2008 – ahead of the NATO summit in early April of that year – in protest against the nation being dragged into the bloc. The main effort domestically to expedite the incorporation of Ukraine into NATO emanated from the duarchy emerging from the 2004-2005 “Orange Revolution,” President Viktor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. Indeed, Washington and its European allies supported and directed the second so-called color revolution (after that in Georgia the preceding year) with just that intended effect in mind.

Democratic Elections in Syria
by Thierry Meyssan

While NATO member states and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC ) persist in presenting Syria as a dictatorship, the country continues its reforms. On June 3, it will elect its President of the Republic, while the war continues to ravage a part of its territory. Damascus is doing everything possible to ensure that this election is democratic and blameless, while its attackers have instructed their media to minimize the coverage and their jihadists to disrupt the proceedings.

Re: Kiev intensifies military op in Eastern Ukraine LIVE UPDATES
Sunday, April 27
21:36 GMT:
The press conference in Slavyansk, during which the foreign military observers detained on Friday by pro-federalization forces, has been condemned as “revolting” act of “public parading.”
“The public parading of the OSCE observers and Ukrainian security forces as prisoners is revolting and blatantly hurts the dignity of the victims,” German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated once again referring to a group as an official OSCE observer mission under the Geneva agreement.
The OSCE headquarters in Vienna however has said earlier that the military verification mission was a completely separate unit headed by German command, AFP reports.
Seven officers from the military transparency mission sent by several OSCE member states were brought into a room of waiting journalists in Slavyansk earlier on Sunday.
VID http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9bqGB_ryScw
“It is an infringement of every rule of behavior and standards that are made for tense situations like this. Russia has a duty to influence the separatists so that the detained members of the OSCE mission are freed as soon as possible,” Steinmeier said.
20:35 GMT:
The authorities in Kiev have announced they will carry out a massive purge of the security forces, as many officers are refusing to stand against the pro-federalization protests in the south-east of the country.
“We have problems with the quality of police performing their functions, including those in the east [of Ukraine],” coup-installed Interior Minister Arsen Avakov told local media, adding that a “significant” number of officers are not ready to “perform their duties.”
In light of this “incompetence,” Avakov promised to purge a large part of security forces’ personnel, noting that in some divisions the process is already ongoing.
He also assured that regional offices of the interior ministry in eastern Ukraine, including Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkov are still under Kiev’s control.
18:49 GMT:
A pro-federalization supporter, who had been kidnapped from the checkpoint at Volodarsky mine in the Donetsk region, has been found.

Is there some confusion, I read about football hooligans that support the fascist junta using baseball bats to attack ppl for having the St George ribbon.
Your zio-neocon whitehouse is a piece of work and the occupants are desperate for their $5bn investment in an unpopular and violent coup to be force fitted both on their US subjects via bent media reportage (like the above?) and on the poor Ukrainians by violence.
Syria is soon to have elections. The bent media insist on calling the political system there a dictatorship. They also lied about Libya whose system was participatory democracy, a far better system than the West's thoroughly compromised representative democracy, it had to be destroyed.

German banks face tripling of bailout fees to 1.9 bln euros per year
BERLIN (Reuters) - Plans being considered for a new European bank restructuring fund would see German banks pay in about 1.9 billion euros (1.56 billion pounds) a year, banking and government officials said on Monday.
That would be about three times what they pay into an existing national bank rescue fund, with bigger lenders set to foot most of the bill.
European leaders decided last month to complete a long-planned banking union with an agency to shut failing euro zone banks and a common 55 billion euro back-up fund, to be built up over eight years with payments from banks.
Germany is pushing to have bigger banks stump up most of the costs, with the smallest lenders - which pose less of a systemic threat - exempted from paying in.
To that end, newspaper Handelsblatt reported on Monday that Berlin plans to abolish for the European pot a rule that caps contributions to the existing German fund at 20 percent of annual net profit.

Unemployed Face Work Scheme Or Sanctions
The long-term unemployed will only receive their benefits if they sign on at a jobcentre every day or commit to a six-month stint of voluntary work under the Government's new Help to Work scheme.
Prime Minister David Cameron says the scheme is designed to ensure "that everyone who can work is in work".
Ministers claim there are more than 600,000 vacancies in the economy at any one time, saying the new measures are intended to help unemployed people fill them.
The voluntary work could include gardening projects, running community cafes or restoring historical sites and war memorials.
The placements will be for up to six months for 30 hours a week and will be backed up by at least four hours of supported job searching each week.

These enemies of the UK and humanity create the problem, undermining the industrial base via the CO2 con, maintain the open gate immigration policy that admits foreigners that take the low paid jobs for even less, and so on. And keeping the lunatic Netanyahu happy along with the zio lobbies in the UK that believe democracy is determined by which politicians you can buy.

Re: Unemployed Face Work Scheme Or Sanctions
More than half a million vacancies is it? What kind of vacancies would those be exactly....are there any zero hours contracts among them, I wonder? It's a nice little boost to some in business when they can get labour for free from the job markets. Whatever happened to "the labourer is worthy of his hire"?

The whole thing is a joke. People who have worked thirty or forty years are expected to do "work experience" to claim on the insurance they paid in for all the years they worked. Do they need work experience after all those years of experience? Maybe its useful for some of the youngsters who want to get some experience, but if there are all those vacancies floating around let them be paid while they get it. And if the vacancies arent in your area you have to work for nothing?

And if they werent screwing us over with the finances they would be able to pay people their pensions at sixty and let them retire to leave spaces for the younger people coming on, instead of making them work til they drop so they dont have to pay them any pensions.

They want "everyone who can work in work" but they dont want them to be paid for it? Where is the justice in that? More advantage for the corporations is all. More like a slave society every day!Oh, and the old horse for the hard road into the bargain.

Not only that, but the companies getting the contracts for managing these schemes are the multi national rip off merchants like G4S and few others who arent known for their honesty and integrity with public funding. They are in business to maximise profits and not to serve the public interests.

Somebidy wants to have a good look into all that bit of it.

Ukraine loses at least $80 billion since Russia takes Crimea
By Natalia Zinets
KIEV (Reuters) - Ukraine has lost at least $80 billion (47.56 billion pounds) since Russia annexed its southern Crimea region and the price tag will be much higher when Kiev includes lost profits and the value of possible energy reserves in the Black Sea.
Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko said Kiev would press its case against Russia at the European Court of Human Rights and could take individuals to court for military crimes and those against its territorial integrity.
"Any state property located on the territory of Crimea is the property of Ukraine and Russia bears the full liability for the losses incurred by state companies, ministries and departments," Petrenko told a news conference.
"Today the amount of such losses is 950 billion hryvnias. These losses do not include lost profits and the value of minerals."
Analysts estimate the value of such energy reserves, seen at 165.3 billion cubic metres of gas and 44 million tonnes of oil, at around $800 million to $1.2 billion.
Ukraine, where a failing economy has been further weakened by months of upheaval, desperately needs to boost revenues and hopes to stave off bankruptcy by securing an aid package from the International Monetary Fund.

Is that Putin's middle finger stuck in the air? I can really see the Russian admin helping a fascist neo Nazi junta sponsored by zio controlled Obama, especially in view of the millions that died fighting the last fascist eruption.
The majority of the inhabitants of Crimea voted to be part of Russia. The junta has no claim. Corrupt admins like the Obama regime, the Cameron regime, the Hollande regime will argue the case, their desire to please their NWO-zio puppeteers versus the will of the majority of Crimea inhabitants is what it comes down to.

I was not asked by the con jobsworthies in power whether the US should be supported in their latest regime change act of imperialism on behalf of the Israeli regime and its US admin, the UK royal family, the Pilgrims (big oil/gas, big agri,)represented by the Bilderbergers and their NATO and the zios led by Rothschild, and the UK parl yes men mostly owned by the London sq mile that is controlled by Rothy and the royals via the BoE.
If I was asked I would deny permission for UK forces to be used in either acts of illegal aggression or as part of NATO, acts threatening the borders of democratic countries, in particular Russia, of secondary but of major importance Ukraine, Iran, Syria and Lebanon. The Ukraine situation has been contrived by the usual suspects. It remains an internal conflict and external interference should see the interferers in jail. It won't because the justice system, mostly controlled by the secret services that have allegiance to the Pilgrims and Rothschild via and control through the freemasons that most of the crooks we call judges are part of, whose Kabbalah-Talmud religion embraces sex with kiddies and their sacrifice to Lucifer that became known as Satan.
The garb of judges dates back to the Egyptian devotion system of worshiping a living god, where much of the bible, koran and the jewish "holy books" were plagiarised from.

They didn't ask my permission either (funnily enough) and if they did it would be denied in the strongest terms.

Frankly, I'd like to see the lot of them out on their ear. Let them go sign on at the jobcentre every day and do a bit of voluntary work. See how they like it. It might humble them a bit (though I doubt it!) :-)
