Al Qaeda in Syria armed by the West
Stating the obvious, without al Qaeda (i.e. al Nusra) the FSA led by the AQ associated LIFG would be nowhere. The ruthless al Nusra takes, the FSA occupies and is then driven out by the army and the citizens.

West Pours Arms into Syria as Al Qaeda Mass Slaughters Civilians
West fueling deadly conflict that has allegedly killed 70,000.
February 24, 2013 (LD) - Repeat a lie often enough, and hopefully people will begin to believe it. That is what a concerted effort by Western media houses hopes to achieve as they claim the recent flow of heavy weapons  from Western nations and their Arab-Israeli partners is boosting "moderate rebels" and "tilting" the balance of Syria's conflict against the Syrian government.
The Washington Post in particular, sets the tempo for this coordinated propaganda campaign, claiming in their report, "In Syria, new influx of weapons to rebels tilts the battle against Assad," that:
A surge of rebel advances in Syria is being fueled at least in part by an influx of heavy weaponry in a renewed effort by outside powers to arm moderates in the Free Syrian Army, according to Arab and rebel officials.
The report also states:
The officials declined to identify the source of the newly provided weapons, but they noted that the countries most closely involved in supporting the rebels’ campaign to oust Assad have grown increasingly alarmed at the soaring influence of Islamists over the fragmented rebel movement. They include the United States and its major European allies, along with Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the two countries most directly involved in supplying the rebels.
The Washington Post refuses to use the term, "Al Qaeda," and instead labels the international, Persian Gulf financed, armed, and harbored terror organization as, "radical Islamists." It quotes an unnamed Arab official as saying,:
"If you want to weaken al-Nusra, you do it not by withholding [weapons] but by boosting the other groups."
Al Qaeda and the "Moderates" are One in the Same
Al-Nusra, of course, is Al Qaeda in Syria and is linked directly to the openly Western-created and backed "moderate" opposition. Moaz al-Khatib, leader of the so-called National Coalition, demanded the US take al-Nusra in particular off their list of sanctioned terrorist organizations. In December of 2012, Reuters quoted al-Khatib as saying:
"The decision to consider a party that is fighting the regime as a terrorist party needs to be reviewed. We might disagree with some parties and their ideas and their political and ideological vision. But we affirm that all the guns of the rebels are aimed at overthrowing the tyrannical criminal regime."
In the same article, Reuters would admit:
The United States designated the Jabhat al-Nusra (Nusra Front) as a foreign terrorist organisation and said it was trying to hijack the revolt on behalf of al Qaeda in Iraq.
While the Washington Post tries to claim Al Qaeda is somehow a separate entity from the "Syrian opposition," the West's own opposition front openly defends and supports Al Qaeda's ongoing violence, which most recently manifested itself in a car bomb targeting scores of civilians, including school children.
As the West simultaneously accuses Saudi Arabia and Qatar (and here) of being the primary financiers of Al Qaeda, it itself has admitted years before the so-called "Syrian uprising" began that it was itself funding and arming extremist groups with direct ties to Al Qaeda with the goal of fostering the very violence now taking place in Syria and along its peripheries. The purpose of now repeatedly lying about arming only "moderate" militants in Syria, is to cover up both past admissions that the West planned to overthrow both Syria and neighboring Iran by arming and funding Al Qaeda since at least 2007, as well as obvious evidence that they are in fact doing just that in Syria now.

Image: (Left) The US Army West Point Combating Terrorism Center's 2007 report, "Al-Qa'ida's Foreign Fighters in Iraq" indicated which areas in Syria Al Qaeda fighters filtering into Iraq came from. The overwhelming majority of them came from Dayr Al-Zawr in Syria's southeast, Idlib in the north near the Turkish-Syrian border, and Dar'a (Daraa) in the south near the Jordanian-Syrian border. (Right) A map indicating the epicenters of violence in Syria indicate that the exact same hotbeds for Al Qaeda in 2007, now serve as the epicenters of so-called "pro-democracy fighters." The Washington Post now claims that arming militants near Dar'a (Daraa) will help keep weapons out of extremists' hands, despite the US Army long-ago identifying it as one of many Al Qaeda hotbeds.

With reference to arms flowing from Europe to the extremist invaders of Syria -
Syrian Rebels Get Arms from Kosovo and Bosnia
The DEBKA website, close to Israeli military intelligence, knows well all the behind the curtain details of regional politics. A few days ago it reported about basically new turns of the way the events unfold in Syria. According to Israelis, the Syrian extremists received a load of heavy weapons for the first time since the war started. The senders are the groups from Kosovo and the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina linked to Al Qaeda. The package includes Kornet and Fagot anti-tank systems delivered by the Soviet Union to former Yugoslavia in the past. The weapons ended up in the hands of extremists as a result of well-known bloody events. As to Israeli intelligence sources, the heavy weapons have been delivered from the Balkans to Syria by sea with the help of Albanian mafia, which is dry behind ears in such operations… Xenia Svetlova, a Russian Middle East expert, thinks the smuggled arms flow through the border between Turkey and Syria, no matter the Friends of Syria officially shy away from direct arms supplies to the rebels.

Michael Weiss - Who just started arming Syria rebels?
In one of the most strangely neglected stories in the two-year Syria conflict, beginning on January 1, four new weapon models began appearing in large quantities in Daraa province, none used at any time by the Syrian military. The M60 recoilless gun, the M79 Osa rocket launcher, the RPG-22 rocket launcher and the Milkor MGL/RBG-6 grenade launcher hadn’t been shown in any opposition videos until the new year.
[...] Croatia, which, along with a host of European and Middle Eastern powers, recognized the Syrian National Coalition as the sole legitimate representative of the Syrian people, is not yet a member state of the European Union (it is set to accede in July of this year) and so, technically, it is not beholden to the EU arms embargo. It is, however, a member of the Friends of Syria umbrella group: Croatian Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic attended the second conference in Istanbul in 2012, and she’s previously expressed concern about Croatia’s oil and gas fields, which sanctions and deteriorating security have rendered useless.

Confirmed here: Syrian rebels get arms through Zagreb by Jordanian plane!
[...] However, there is a possibility that Croatia has not sold weapons directly to the Syrian rebels, but to a third country that transfers them to Syria. He also mentions the U.S., the main Croatian military and political partner. According to information that no one in government would comment, Croatia has sold or otherwise disposed of weapons, and probably ammunition via a third party, the United States, who had them moved to Syria. And in that scenario, the Croatian government is completely clean. And were the weapons transferred? In recent months, there was a large number of images of a Jordanian transport aircraft landing at Zagreb's Pleso. This is an Ilyushin 76 owned by the Jordanian International Air Cargo. Randomly recorded with photos that can be seen on the website PlanePictures.net. According to available information, a large transport aircraft landed at the airport on 14 and 23 December 2012, and 6 January and 18 February this year. No official data is given as to what was transported by the flights. However, it is well known fact that a Croatian company has signed a commercial agreement on the legal sale of weapons to Jordan.

Washington Backs Syrian Anti-Government Terrorism
Make no mistake. Syria is Washington's war. It was planned years ago. Regime change is policy. At issue is replacing Assad's government with a pro-Western puppet one.
Washington tolerates no independent governments. It demands subservience to US policies. Outliers are targeted for removal. Options include war.
Mass slaughter and destruction don't matter. Unchallenged dominance is policy. It's longstanding, ruthless and lawless.
Western-recruited death squads ravage Syria. They've done so for two years. They're imported from abroad. Rules of engagement include mass murder, torture, and other atrocities.
Pro-Assad loyalists are prime targets. Innocent civilians are massacred. Doing so is official US policy. Imperial wars are called liberating ones. Terrorism is what they do, not us.
Syria was peaceful before US proxies invaded. So was Libya in 2011. It was ravaged and destroyed. It remains unstable and violent. Libya 2.0 looms.
Syria may become NATO's latest charnel house. It's well along the way already. Countries are ravaged on the pretext of liberating them. Empires never say they're sorry. Policy isn't pretty. It's violent and lawless.
It reflects state terrorism. It proliferates death and destruction. It prioritizes wealth, power, privilege and dominance. Direct and proxy wars are waged.
Cutthroat killers are used. They're recruited abroad. They're heavily armed, trained, funded and directed. They're ordered to commit mass murder. Obama bears full responsibility. He's a war criminal multiple times over.

Jabhat al-Nusra Claims Responsibility for Terrorist Bombing in Aleppo
DAMASCUS, (SANA) - The terrorist group "Jabhat al-Nusra" claimed responsibility for the terrorist bombing which targeted al-Hayat Hospital in Aleppo last year, claiming the lives of more than thirty citizens in addition to causing dozens of injuries and severe material damage.
A video clip broadcast by a number of extremist websites affiliated with Al Qaeda showed the stages of preparing the car bomb out of mid-sized truck originally used for transporting food which was equipped with more than 1,000 kilograms of explosives, in addition to showing the terrorist who committed the attack.
This terrorist attack is one of dozens such attacks that Jabhat al-Nusra executed and claimed responsibility for. These attacks targeted hospitals, medical centers and residential areas, claiming the lives of hundreds of innocents civilians.
Jebhat al-Nusra is still supported by several well-known foreign sides, and western forces continue to refrain from denouncing its terrorist attacks and prevent the Security Council from denouncing it as well, despite that Jabhat al-Nusra is supposedly on their lists of terrorist organizations.

Terrorist Confesses to Taking Part in Destroying Hospital
DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Terrorist Abdelhadi Mohammad al-Khalif confessed to taking part in destroying the National Hospital in al-Qseir, Homs countryside, along with a terrorist group by detonating explosive devices planted in a tunnel they dug under the hospital, claiming the lives of a number of hospital workers and nurses.
[...] He also confessed to committing acts of abductions, including the abduction and torture of 15 people from the town of al-Aqrabiya, and the abduction of 5 people from the village of al-Ghassanye who were transported to the home of one Firas al-Akari where they slit the throat of one of the abductees.
Al-Khalif said that they also abducted two people from the village of al-Hamidiye and stole two large cars, adding that they received weapons and funds from a man named Dabbah Ghannoum and his two sons who got them from Lebanon.

Bradley Manning’s first 1,000 days in prison
International protests mark WikiLeaks suspect Bradley Manning’s 1,000 days in prison

Rallies, marches and performances in some 70 cities worldwide marked Bradley Manning’s 1,000th day in jail. They come days before his pretrial hearing, where the defense will seek to dismiss the charges against him due to lack of a speedy trial.
Coordinated events throughout the US, UK, Canada, across Europe, and as reaching as far as South Korea and Australia took place “to raise awareness about the young Army private” who allegedly exposed US war crimes in Iraq.

Manning is accused of publicly passing classified files to WikiLeaks, whose founder Julian Assange remains holed up in London's Ecuadorian Embassy, evading prosecution from Western powers.

“There has never been a more important time to broadcast our message of support for exposing war crimes, international justice, and people’s right to know what the government does in our name,” said a spokesman for one of the support groups for Bradley Manning in the United States.

SYRIA: Convicted prisoners of Turkey and KSA as terrorists in Syria ?
An official and classified Saudi Arabian document reveals that the government of Saudi Arabia releases its most dangerous prisoners who are sentenced to death under the condition that they take part in the attempted subversion in Syria.
The practice constitutes a serious war crime. Earlier in 2012 PRESS TV and Al Alam journalist Maya Naser was assassinated shortly after he began investigating the same crime being committed by Turkish authorities.
[...] The Saudi document indicates that the forced use of prisoners in Saudi Arabia and Turkey is part of a GCC-NATO strategy rather than isolated incidents.
The evidence provided by Maya Naser and the Saudi Arabian document warrant an investigation and prosecution of Turkey, Saudi Arabia as well as against NATO at the International Criminal Court, ICC.
Whether any of the war crimes will be investigated or prosecuted however, is more than just uncertain. For one it is unlikely that any of the western nations will demand an investigation or prosecution.
For the other, both Russia and China are most likely considering the already very tense bilateral and multilateral relations between respectively Russia, China and the USA, UK and France.
Iran which is currently chairing the Non Aligned Movement is under sustained pressure from the USA, Canada, the EU and its Gulf-Arab neighbors. The Tehran government is likely to think twice before it risks worsening diplomatic relations to the west.
In other words, Turkey´s, Saudi Arabia´s and NATO´s blatant violations of the Geneva Conventions, their forced use of prisoners and state sponsored terrorism is likely not to be noticed by the ICC, which ten years after the Rome Treaty has exclusively prosecuted, imprisoned and sentenced heads of state and government officials who dared to oppose US, EU and NATO hegemony.
It will hardly result in an investigation, prosecution, or a cessation of state sponsored terrorism and forced use of prisoners.

What gold?
The pyramid fractional reserve scam where banks issue in paper multiple times the value of their physical holdings, enabled by debt currency is very, very near its breaking point, where the central banks can't kick the can any further down the road by printing. Stolen Libyan gold has already been spent imo. France is withdrawing 4000 troops soon. Has Hollande stolen the Malian gold, mission accomplished?
The US Gov’t May Be Exporting German Gold to China! Eric Sprott
Eric pointed out that the US government exported 30% of US annual gold production to Hong Kong in December alone, and stated that as there is no excess gold available in the US, all of his analysis suggests that the US gov’t may be exporting the German, Dutch, & Austrian gold reserves held at the NY Fed to China in an attempt to kick the can and forestall the inevitable financial collapse a little longer.
On Jan 17th, the Dept of Treasury released their GAAP budget deficit, and it was $6.9 trillion. [Deficit is the amount borrowed to meet the bills, the addition to the national debt. Military spending accounts for over half the US budget. This must be money to finance bombs, bullets and military hardware.]
Sprott also discussed the massive physical gold buying in Asia:
Every time I look at the gold data, you see more and more physical buying of gold all the time. If I annualized the latest imports into China from Hong Kong in their latest reported number, and if I annualized the latest India purchases, my goodness the shortage we would have in physical gold- I calculated 2,300 tons per year! That shortage would be substantially higher. And I might add that I don’t get to see data on what people who buy bars- we don’t get to see that data!
[...] As you know the gold market is only a 4,000 ton market, and we’ve seen this change of 2,300 tons per year- where is the gold coming from? How does China import 95 net tons of gold in a month when the mines ex-China only produce about 180? They bought 50% of the world’s gold! Then I turn around and read that India bought 100 tons, over 50% of the world’s gold per month!
The US gov’t has to be selling! We saw the Treasury customs report for the month of December where the US gov’t was an exporter of $4 billion worth of gold! (They call it non-monetary gold by the way)…which is 2.5 million ounces! In a month! The US only produces 8.8 million ounces in a year, where do you come up with 2.5 million ounces?
Most of the gold produced in the US is consumed in the US! There’s not much left over for exports.
In the last year, the US gov’t has exported 250 tons of gold! Where does 250 tons of gold come from?
There’s no excess gold available other than what might have been at the central bank! It might have been the German gold, might have been the Austrian gold, might have been the Dutch gold- all of my analysis tells me that’s whats happening!
